Did you assure them not to worry- our lot will take him off their hands with a 3 year contract. The only criticism the Derbyshire fans in attendance at the Riverside had of Arthur was his blind loyalty to the woefully out of form Godleman.
Very well batted Trev, TSS a very good debut and Stan picking up a couple of wickets and batting well too. Great to see Rushy back to form.
Overall however, another disappointnent and its one win still.
The points about coach interaction on recent threads are very relevant and the way Will and Alan W have always interacted with members has always been to their credit.
Last year at Edbaston on the rained off afternoon day 4 there were 2 of us walking round the empty stands, both of us had Durham caps on. North and Franklin were chatting and we passed them. We had travelled 200 miles to support the team and if we hadnt asked their thoughts as to the possibility of play they would have completely ignored us, this in a 3000 seater stand with 4 of us in total in it.
Sadly this has been the norm during their time here. I dont wish to hassle coaches etc but a small recognition of our pressence would have been appreciated.
With results not going well PR is a major area and something they should both be far more aware of. Communication is key and there seems to be very little at the moment. Not good when crowds are clearly falling.
Whilst dumped into the backwaters by the ECB the 50 over cup is now a very important competition for the club and one our 2 leaders need to get right. Another failure would not be acceptable. A last chance to save a pretty depressing campaign.
I did mention that would be a likely scenario.Did you assure them not to worry- our lot will take him off their hands with a 3 year contract.
Yes, only appeared in the last hour.
Doesn't appear to see or concede the mess the club is in.
We'll they're certainly not going to admit that the club is in a mess but a little bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss especially when so many fans readily agreed to forfeit a season's membership. Why not admit that finances won't allow it if that's the case although the signing of Maddinson when clearly the need was to strengthen the bowling hardly indicates thrift. How many managers/head coaches* across the sporting spectrum actually admit something like that whilst they’re in post though?
Barely any. It isn’t the done thing.
*or whatever his daft title is.

Well, they'd be dealing with a fine mess most of the timeJust realised. If we play McAlindon and Gibson, we'll have a Stan and Ollie in the team!
