it isn’t really. There’s been games where international womens team have lost to junior male teams
In the past. They now have a professional league. The blokes had over a hundred year headstart

this england womens team play better football than half of league one

Understand your point and I’m not against womens football but every performance ever played by a SAFC mens team beats this womens team.

Even the 8-0 at Southampton or the 5-1 at Rotherham?

Of course but you're looking at it through the wrong lens. Just see it as one group of lasses against another group of lasses trying to win a game for their country rather than comparing.

This might not go down too well but why are the BBC pushing this sport down our throats on their main channel?
Unbelievable the coverage for this minority sport.
Don’t worry you can watch Eastenders on catch up.
What a tosser

Still completely missing the point. How many female Olympic athletic champions would have beaten thier male counterpart? Clearly in sports like Equestrianism the strentgh means far less and the women often outperform the men.

I dont know if you have noticed but elite women are less strong, less tall and less powerfull than elite men. But they are still 'elite'. That's the point you miss completely. Think about it before posting again.

We might as well say Lusain Bolt was a crap sprinter because a cheater would beat him. It makes as much 'sense' which is none at all by the way;)

Totally agree

But I don’t watch it because it’s worse standard than (for example) a northern league game and I don’t watch those either

As above

Err no you don't.

You can say things that shine a massive 'tool' light on yourself and are still free to walk amongst us.
Haway man

If you care so much about standards, maybe go and watch Man City rather than Sunderland?

Why does it have to be compared and ridiculed though? Why can't you appreciate that we have some excellent women's athletes who are currently performing well against another team of women. They deserve respect and support not people tearing them to shreds.

The contradictions are class mind
How’s that a contradiction?

I follow the team I support regardless (sunderland) but when it comes to watching other teams (England, Englands women, sunderland women, Man City, whoever) it’s based on it it’s going to be a good watch

Not sure I have ridiculed it mind

But some do of course - I don’t think that ridicule is because it’s women playing though, it’s just cos the standard is poor

You previously made an argument that power and size = good. To which I gave you a boxing example to disprove the point

Which you thought was confirming your nonsense

You then argue “standards”. Whilst supporting Sunderland ffs

It’s a sport. Sport is for all. We all love it for different reasons. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. No one gives a fuck about you making an argument why.

Cracking game - better quality football than the turgid sh*t we watched in L1 last season

What are these standards and how are they officially measured?

Or is it your own personal scale of standards?
