Broad finished?

Hussain has just been saying how he’s still got it with the ball.
Jesting. I think he will definitely be playing the ashes next summer and then , he may choose to hang them up

i could see him and Anderson, doing a Walsh and Ambrose walk off at the oval into retirement

Nah. He’ll play 2024 if he stays fit imo, even when he declines a bit he’ll still be good enough.

Broad will be touch and go for the Ashes imo if a couple of Robinson, Woakes (amazing at home) and Wood get fit.
Potts looks like he is here to stay, so I feel Robinson has a lot to do to displace him

Woakes I agree and definitely wood . Could be a stokes, Potts , wood combo with lees opening

He's had 1 great spell in 4 tests, struggled in 2 innings massively.
Jimmy had his 2nd innings troubles the last 2 years before the Ashes.
I dont see Broad turning this around like Jimmy

That will haunt him post career but I really think he will be around for the ashes

Wood, Archer, Woakes (at home), Robinson all offer more if they get fit imo. Plus potentially Mahmood who looked promising in March.

Then add another year for Broad who already seems to be losing some nip.

It’s definitely looming like.

Be interesting to see how England manage this. He deserves to announce that it’s his final test before it’s played, but it’s whether we have that luxury before, say, a series decider at The Oval.
