They seem to think that having rich owners means said owners will spend all their funds on them & that somehow makes them immediately part of the elite. Its like my Dad leaves me a Squillion quid, I buy an average set of clubs & turn up at the US Open & expect to win it.

They're buying Burnley, have a relegation Manager who was 8th choice & are absolute dross to watch. Got Top 4 written all over it.

It’s not like the UK unless they show different coverage in different places.

At the end of the day someone who watches a handful of games in America and claims a player to be better then average based on tv coverage is no better than any MLF who claims he is bow average from watching games on the box.
They show the same games man. More than are shown live in the UK.

Do they show the same coverage in NYC?

You still can’t judge a player by watching a few games on the box, unless of course that player is running every game and the cameras never leave him.

He’s performing nearly as well as Willock did when he first arrived on loan and he played more games and scored more than Bruno. He probably did more than most to keep you up that season. Last season he seemed to be just a squad player who struggled.

As @sofatester points out, you need to judge a player over more than a few games.
You need 2 seasons to judge how a player is not 6 months

Yes. On peacock/NBC
Every Premier league match. Every game. 380 games per season.

If they keep saying it they will believe it  tagging 20% of the clubs owners in as well. Aye I’m sure PIF has Nick Pope,Dan Burn and Chris Wood in mind long before the takeover, bonkers this lot:lol:

How long will they stand by this "project" as an excuse for being disappointed.

3 seasons time and another lower half finish, will it be "trust in Amanda... it's a long term project".

Meanwhile the bigger clubs pull further away each season and become harder to catch

If Ashley had signed Nick Pope, Dan Burn, Chris Wood and Matt Targett there would be hell on and any stinking mag who says otherwise is a liar.

You have probably selected his worst performance sir. The whole team were shite in that game to be fair.
Let's agree to revisit in December when he has had another 6 months.

Now he was truly shite.
On Bruno i think he is better than average. Time will tell. Were we debating the merits of ASM, for example, it would be a totally different exchange. I really don't see it.
He put in a pub display v Spurs the absolute plank

Now he was truly shite.

Agreed. But as usual there were mags hyping him up after most of the first season he had, begging Ashley to sign him up.

Willock the same...

Bruno.... time will tell.

But there is a history of your fans over-exhalting mediocrity. And yes it happens at all clubs. But I think (with my Red and White glasses on) it happens more at Newcastle.

Seems like every new signing is class, every English player who has a good game is "overlooked for England" (Shelvey, Lascelles, Longstaff x2)

Dubravka and Pope.... "two of the top ten keepers in the top flight"

Truth is if all those player were as good as your fans generally seem to think, you'd not have been a bottom half prem/championship team.

Especially not under World Class Rafa
