If Luke O'nien is a guaranteed starter then its a damning indictment on the quality of our squad. Seems a nice kid but hes a very limited footballer.

In Neils system nor him or Evans need to spectacular ball players. They in there as breakers to stop attacks, screen the defence and pass to the players on our team who can do the fancy stuff like Pritchard.

Best fit? He couldn't hold down a place in the squad for as long as he's been here ....if another club had come in for him, he would have been away. There's never been offers from the championship, be it on a free or for a transfer fee.
As it stands, yeah he'd get game time due to the lack of numbers but that will likely change. He won't be a guaranteed starter this coming season.

Every manager we have had has played him regularly: if he’s fit he plays, it being in different positions is because he’s versatile enough to do it and we needed him to.
You trying to make out like he’s a squad player man, nonsense.
That's exactly what he is.
He's never held down a position when a player has come back fit...its bizarre you think otherwise. If he couldn't fill in when needed, he wouldn't have been given a new contract full stop.
Anyway, it's clear that we'll have to agree to disagree on the lad.
