Thought I had it again at the weekend.

Burning throat and chest, headaches, coughing and felt dizzy.
Did two tests yesterday and one this morning and all negative....thank fuck.

Must just be a lergy going around.

I don't trust those LFTs at all mind. All of the LFTs showed negative when I had it at Christmas, it was only the PCR that was positive and I know I caught it from the bairn whose LFTs were all negative too. Know of others who tested negative on LFTs but positive on PCR too. I'm also certain I had it again last week - exactly the same symptoms as the last time and did several LFTs which were all negative.

I know the symptoms are very similar to cold and flu but it was identical.

I’ve still got a cough after having it a month ago. Been testing negative for a while though.

It was only a very short period where I felt extremely ill. Then just a lingering tail of minor symptoms. Don’t think it’s what you’d call ‘long covid’ because I otherwise feel fine, able to exercise without being out of breath quicker than normal etc’.

I picked up a bad cold on Wembley weekend. Was taking weeks to shift but now hayfever's just taken over instead. Been snotty as owt for a month.

Me and the wife have got something but not sure what. Taste buds all to hell, no appetite. Can't remember ever eating so little. Lethargic, high temp. Caught whatever it is last Tues or Wed. Felt shit from friday till now.

There is definitely something else doing the rounds - me and the missus have been coughing, sneezing and manufacturing snot on an industrial scale for over a week now.

We've both done LFTs that have come back negative - so not all roads lead to Covid.

My theory is that our immune systems have been cosseted for more than two years now by mask-wearing and 'social distancing' and have lost some of their ability to deal with the more normal bugs and viruses that we pick up under regular circumstances.

Had the worst illness I can remember this last week
Started with terrible fatigue and weakness late Friday night.
Then nothing really until Saturday evening and the tiredness kicked in again.
Woke up Sunday feeling off, and within 2 hours I was back in bed.

Muscle ache, headache, dizzy. Then started hoying up.
Then the bairn started with it

Sunday evening I was quite poorly. Told the wife to keep checking on me as I could barely move and breathing was not automatic. Couldn't drink anything or id be sick and I was very dehydrated.

Still off work now. All the original symptoms have gone really, just can't even watch TV from 9 to 5 without being knackered. Nevermind think all day at work. Hot flushes on and off all the time too.

Hope it buggers off overnight.

Lft said negative fwiw.

I know someone who works at the royal in a very senior clinical role, for obvious reasons no name no pack drill, he won’t do LFTs

He thinks they are meaningless.

I would trust this bloke with my life.

My Grandma tested postive last week. My Mam and Dad (separated, dont' live together / haven't seen each other) have both tested positive this week. My 13 month old had a temp of 40.1 last night, coughing, chesty etc (similar to when he last had covid before christmas) and my girlfriend has all the classic covid symptoms yet is testing negative.

My girlfriend is a nurse and her ward has people off left right and centre with it. It's certainly more prominent than it has been.

Few days after wembley snot i was bringing up( nose and coughing ) , could have resurfaced the A1 , known nowt like it, coughing till me head nearly blew up, lack of sleep, but 2 tests showed nee covid.
Lasted about 10 days.

Second time for me (had it over Christmas) and a lot worse this time round for me. I’m absolutely flattened. Tested positive on Monday like you.
I thought it was a cold at first but took the test. Cold normally eases off after a day but this was full on for three days. I know it’ll be a while before I’m at 100% again, just hope it’s not too long. Yesterday was the worst day for me, just couldn’t get comfortable.

I thought mine was hay fever on Sunday but when I woke up on Monday I knew what would happen the moment I took my lateral flow

It’s the constant fatigue for me. I’m just constantly tired and absolutely get what you mean about feeling comfortable. Nasty stuff. Hope you’re on the mend again soon.
