Never went in shearers bar in Newcastle and left a few work nights out in the past when they headed there 'for a laugh'Tin of Sardines. They've got one with that name that is very successful and they want to use the brand to attract custom.
I'm not sure why people are getting all precious about it and taking pub names literally. Locals will find their own name for it over time but I can't think of a single instance where I haven't been to a bar because of the name.
