Not a puzzle to me, I think he has played a blinder in reality. SD sold him 40% and CM sold him 1%, making him the biggest single shareholder. I don't know exactly what he paid, but if the value was 37M then SD would have got 14.8M and CM would have got 370K. They all agree to fund the club pro rata and therefore the ownership group put their money in as per their equal share in. To keep it simple they decide to put in 1M, KLD, puts in 410K, JS 200K SD 340K and CM 50K. Yes both SD and CM are using KLD money to fund their part of the agreement, however the money KLD gave for the shares is coming back into the club. If he had bought the shares outright then SD and CM would have walked off into the sunset a dam lot richer than when the walked in, and KLD would have had to stump up 800K to fund his part instead of 410K. This is only my thinking and not fact, but it's the way I see it and if that is what he has done then in my opinion he's played a blinder.

 “Played a blinder” leading to these jokers trying to buy into the club.

The point his KLD at some point buy JS share then he will have 61% full control
Ah that old chestnut.

The same chestnut that he wants to own the club but hasn’t bothered buying a majority shareholding since he’s been here.

And now you’re saying he wants to buy a majority share but not the whole club.

Why would anyone want to invest in a club, in one of the biggest loss making leagues on the planet, when they’ll have no control over any aspect and the person with the majority shares isn’t interested in buying them out?

Sounds class.

I see that the "SAFC project" is being lead by a former Bradford Park Avenue exceutive. Well that a great relief. A bloke with experience of a club thats currently playing in the National League North & that's never been a member of the Football League is just the type of guy to sort the whole deal out.

Quite right mate, not thinking right there.

Thanks for the message.
It's tempting to hope Donald plays up to type and drops his mate Methven in it. Donald doesn't need him and can sell his own shares independently. Methven would be left, as far as I know, with nothing but an obligation to provide funds.

In some ways I'd rather see that happen than him running off with his pieces of silver.

In some ways I'd rather see that happen than him running off with his 30 pieces of silver.

You can say that again.

And again
