CC :: Durham v Worcestershire

Collie and Harte's military medium might have been after that. Keats was proper fast medium. I don't think he ever bowls for Lancs.

Harte’s definitely was, my memory is getting worse :oops:. That’s the sentiment though. Sometimes it’s very handy to have that change of pace/style option for a spell now and then to ease the burden on the frontline lads.
Re the bad light, are the floodlights not allowed to be put on in the CC?

They were on.

Think it was a case of the old ‘natural versus artificial light’ argument.

They were on. Umpires briefly spoke for a few seconds, then a few balls later they went off. No light meters, no spinners on..... straight off, then back on 15 minutes later with the same black cloud above and starting with the fast bowlers... absolute farce

Hate bad light walk offs me. That’s one thing that needs sorting once and for all. I don’t like it in tests when they take a measure and use it throughout,

they don’t tell the paying public what that measure is and why it’s deemed to dangerous to play

Another overcast day at the Riverside - at least the wind has all but disappeared.

Watching Ravindra practicing his slow left arm...I hope he's holding a bit back.:lol:

Morning marra, morning all, just spoke to a couple of Worcester lads who suggested it would be all over today, needless to say me being the eternal pessimist I said I wasn't so sure 😁

I thought the light had improved significantly when they came back on.

They obviously weren't at New Road last month.:lol:
Shouter taking the unorthodox Front Row Seat position at the start of play.:D
