Beaten 2-1 by Albacete in extra time.
Ferchrissakes.
Biggest club down there but owned by a bank who they owed about €100m or so too about five years back. Bank won’t allow them to pay transfer fees or pay good wages and anyone decent is sold ASAP even if it’s just to the second division. They need a top coach who’s a local lad and doesn’t need the money to take the job for love.

They’re paying for their overpaying pleasure in the 90s-00s now alright. A textbook lesson in why clubs should be sustainable.

With Racing out the way hopefully they go and win the league next season and avoid any playoff silliness. Still the biggest draw by far at that level.

Aye but they can’t pay bigger wages as far as I know. Any excess money goes to the bank. It could be 50yrs before they pay off their debt to the bank.

Gutted. Watched it in a bar full of Dépor. Going up for nearly 2 hours, suddenly swung at the end. The atmosphere crashed. Lottery these play offs as we know.

Depor could struggle now, as mentioned owned by the local bank. But 30 odd thousand there today will see them through.

Commiserations marra. There’s a restaurant in Borehamwood that’ll be full of people feeling your pain tonight.

Big diaspora of Gallegos in London. Switzerland. France. Loads in Madrid too. They were the original poor Spaniards who had to move for work before Ryanair.

So many similarities with Safc. Big regional northern outpost.

Aye. Castellón at home. Full House 32000 in Riazor. 2nd leg away Next Sunday.
With us and Sheff Wed escaped. Deportivo have to be the biggest club in the world playing at the third level.

Real Sociedad reserves or Alcorcón await in the final.
Haway Depor!

The dream double tonight is Depor thrash Castellón then Celta Vigo go down. The Big Galician derby could be back next season.

Enjoy the Coruña hatred of Vigo. Their FTM graffitied on walls all over town is simply...
Vigo No

Can be seen here from 6pm uk time
G24.gal/deportes
If you as sad as me
Cheers marra. I’ll be watching that. Used to use the links on their Eng Lang forum but that shut down a while back.
Still in the studio atm.
It’s a live feed of the radio station! Ian Mackay and Lucas Perez on anyway. I thought Mackay was a relation of tartan mackems about 15yrs ago when he revealed himself as a Depor enthusiast.
It won’t allow me to play what looks like it’s a link to a tv feed

“This video file cannot be played. Error code 224003”
The radio station one with the audio commentary and the four blokes sitting around listening and gesturing to the others in the studio off camera works fine. My Spanish is at ordering a beer or taxi levels so Lucas Perez and Ian Mackay are the only words I’ve understood as the commentary is so fast.
Its reminding me of the mag playoff second leg which I watched on ceefax until about 30 mins from the end when my marra and our scouse n manc housemates came in from the pub and informed me it was on radio2.

Thats a shame. Must be blocked in the UK.
The blokes in the studio are talking Galego - Galician , i turned up there to learn Spanish and they all talk this mad dialect

Aaaah.
I thought the baldy feller on the left was Pablo the veteran RB at first. What’s Jack Blacks role in the studio? Four blokes pretending they aren’t watching it on tv be cos they’re working for a radio station isn’t the greatest viewing?
