The more we sell the less the gap for the wantaway ownership group to fund . This time last week a fanzine was writing an article about a local billionaire now the ITK’s over the road are playing it down . I wonder who briefs them ….I see we've shifted 28,000 season tickets a big increase since Tim whites "tweet" the other day![]()

Ticket sales are more important outside the PL, but it's easy to overstate the income. Bear in mind that a "standard" season card at £390 is £325 after VAT. If that was the average, then 3000 tickets (the rough increase over last season) yields £1.17m. In reality, the availability of concessions means the average is probably lower, and the extra revenue is probably less than £1m. Given the higher costs in the Championship, it's probably not going to be a huge reduction in the funding gap.
Good post but I think you are understating it a little as people spend money at the ground and the margins will be fairly high
You make a fair point overall though
For me the size of the crowd is much more about -
1) it’s just more enjoyable going to the match when it’s fuller
2) the crowd makes a difference to results on the pitch. When our crowd really gets behind the side there is no-one better in this country
