Sky’s Priorities


They are a joke these days. Prices higher than ever but very little domestic cricket, none of the Tennis Open tournaments and no Spanish football. I pay the same now for not having Sky Sports as I did 18 months ago for having the full sports package so I dread to think how much they are charging for that now.

Shocking lack of coverage mind. No football on today and yesterday so I checked the cricket fixtures and there’s a few on each day. Presumed it would be on yesterday but checked sky sports schedule and nothing. Checked again today and more fixtures yet again tho sky have nothing

Check the county website of the teams involved and there will be a free stream to watch via YouTube, with commentary usually

i watched notts last night until the rain, was decent coverage. I’ll be trying with notts again or yorkshire tonight depending on the weather

if those are rained off I will be off to the southern group games

10 years ago you could watch practically everything on Sky. Domestic football, Champions League, Spanish football, cricket and rugby. They also used to do canny shows like Revista De La Liga which were worth a watch.

They’ve lost practically all of that and replaced it with netball, women’s sports and crap like the Eredivisie.

My contract is up in November and I’m f***ing them off. I might keep BT for the rugby but I’m not sure yet.

Aye, to play devil's advocate why would sky broadcast it when it's all available on YouTube anyhow?

We are appreciative of the YouTube coverage, it just shows some very muddled thinking from ftecb to put off their own broadcaster in that way, whilst providing free coverage but not a sausage on terrestrial telly to actually encourage casual fans, rather than just those of us willing to search it out
