IPL 2022

mate its been on far too long like, its not gaining any atttention in this country thats for sure.
Probably too long of a tournament.

But one thing is for sure never seen fans in cricket grounds anywhere in the world enjoy a cricket match as they do in the IPL.

To me that is what sport is all about entertaining the fans.

The bottom line is over there in India they absolutely love it and it’s been a massive success.

Sky would not paying what they do for it and showing it if nobody wasn’t interested mate

Yeah but I dont live in India mate and am not Indian.

Fair enough mate but you keep coming on to a thread to criticize something that is clearly a popular product

I’m criticising it because people pretend it’s of importance in England

Absolutely nobody watches it, nobody comments on it

Yet we keep getting told this is what English fans want and we need ti copy the big bash and IPL

No we don’t

Personally we have effectively a semi final taking place right now in the biggest domestic cricket competition in the world and one of the best white ball cricket players England have produced is 40 of 18 balls playing excellently.

Not sure what not to like about that?

But if people prefer watching what we have seen recently in domestic English cricket more draws than results guess up to them

If it’s so good then why is nobody watching it?

You don’t like English cricket, we we get that.

Where were Buttler and Livingstone produced by the way?
England not sure of your point, my point is the cricket on show on the IPL and T20 is excellent and very entertaining, doesn’t matter to me where and what country that is played at.

It’s the quality and entertainment that’s important to me

England has produced some brilliant white ball cricketers and have some some brilliant white ball cricketers long may it continue.

Yeah produce in the blast which is very entertaining

Don’t need to rip up our entire structure to copy it so we

Totally agree love the blast
What’s wrong with enjoying both the IPL and The Blast they both the same format and both very entertaining cricket?

Nout I suppose

It’s eating up the game though

Boult is missing lords because of it, that can’t be right
Just making the point mate that agree the blast very entertaining.

But surely you can’t say in one breath the blast is very entertaining but then say the IPL is not when it is same format played by better players?

If we want to celebrate English players which surely we both do, and you always do.

Why aren’t we taking about Buttler who is 73 not out in a massive game and celebrate the fact that we currently have the best T20 batsman in the world!

Because I have no interest in supporting random franchises in a different country
