The Nag's Head, Covent Garden

It's mint being part of the SAFC family like. :)

Does make you wonder what the recipe for this is. Sheer numbers is part of it, being football daft up here, not much else to cheer about etc, but that's true of other fanbases too. To be honest, I don't think we are unique, but we're probably in a fairly small group who haven't been tainted by arrogance from success, savouring when we get a taste of it, but not expecting it as a right. And rightly proud of our history. But it's more a pride in ourselves as a fanbase, what makes 'us', if that makes sense. The team on the pitch, the club and colours, are just a reflection of that, I think.

We clearly felt a kind of kinship with Sheff Wed this season, because we saw ourselves in them and vice versa.

Honestly I just love the togetherness. Random lads fans speaking to us in covent garden/TS just enjoying the day. Same on the tube to and from Wembley. Wouldn't swap it for the world

It's humility marra. Knowing your place, pride in where you come from but never in a flashy way. We're Sunderland and we'll take you as we find you.
