He's beat those he needed to TBF. The next jump is taking points off the "top 6". Big big summer coming up.
Could be two or three years if they invest wisely.
But, only time will tell how the owners plan on moving forward.

I am not disputing it at all. He did well and was pragmatic with his style.

I am repeating myself but starting a season with fans expecting a position from 10th upwards is vastly different to starting the job bottom of the table with nothing to lose. His win rate of 48% and PPG are on par with his form in L1 and Championship.

Looks as if Man City should prepare themselves to hand the trophy over by next Easter.

I barely have any kind of intimate insight into the level and capabilities of our own players much less Newcastle’s but I must admit if I had the aspirations they have signing players like them to contracts seems strange. If I was a club wanting to compete with the top 4-5 clubs I would want players of the level of the likes of Liverpool and Man City. Players like those may be ok for a mid table existence but not if you want to win trophies and qualify for the Champions League.

Bit late to be giving untested 30 year olds caps for me like. world cup in 6 months and we’ve got plenty of defenders better than him. He’d only get any kind of chance if everyone else is injured.
He’ll be 34 by the next world cup so I doubt he’ll be in future plans.
Giving mid 20 year olds a bit experience who might be in the plans for the next 4 years, like tomori, fair enough.
did chi sign up for that?

That’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever said on here

We can’t attract that calibre of player yet. It’ll take good scouting to achieve that sort of player. Mahrez is a good example of that when at Leicester.

Shhhhhhhhhh 🤫 doesn’t talk about Yemen anymore or weapons to Saudi

At this time the self serving Onwurah said that Newcastle were not run by someone who was a lifelong NUFC fan in Ashley [how many club owners are] which presumably means she thinks that Bin Salman and his despotic entourage are lol!
