SMBs top musician

Had a few records released years ago, rave music, probably sold 600ish copies and DJd in Liquid Envy (Old Ikon) and Newcastle Uni (Judgement Day venue) a few times in-front of 1000+ people. Not a musician by any stretch of the imagination, can play keyboard very basic and love designing sounds on old VA synths etc…
Paul by any chance ?

If you cannot hear what is good about Wonderwall then fair enough. It is subjective after all.

Just doesn't do it for me at all.

I'm not against indie music by any stretch. Some of my favourite albums are by bands like The Wonder Stuff. Oasis just don't don't do it for me. They just sound like bad musicians with a yobbo on lead vocals doing a bad pop-structure impersonation of the good indie bands that came before them.
Not too surprising given that's where your head resides.

End o' the day, Joe Public love a singalong, so if you can tap into that you're onto a winner. Noel Gallagher managed to do so time and time again. Song doesn't have to be complex, refined, or even well played, as long as it's got a hook people will respond. I've had the Sunderland Takeover chant stuck in me head since Saturday, and there's fuck all to that.

Played some decent sized gigs. Played at the beacon before a match once when SAFC were doing fanzones on my todd. My band back in the day supported Cast and The Enemy at Carling Academy (i think it was called back then) and also supported Black Wire and Paddingtons somewhere.

Your Oasis comments have haunted you ever since.
Played on-stage with Sting in 1977 at City hall. Nowt else since
That's impressive. Was it pre-The Police?

I'm a singer rather than a musician and everyone on here knows who my band is by now.

Was a Radio Presenter from 2008 to 2012.

Was a DJ in Sunderland and Newcastle for years from about 2004 to 2012.

Been on the tele a few times. The Weakest Link was canny.

Other than that I'm just famous on here.

I’m not even famous on here 😁😁

I sang Sex on Fire on karaoke while running along the Felling bypass in the GNR but I changed the lyrics to me legs on are on fire.

Agree with you and Harry.People on the other side of music, the engineers ,the 100 notes a second guitarists ,the nearly bands try to put some kind of fact behind it but some tunes just have that something else .
If you scatted Wonderwall the melody and shape of it is telling you its got that something ,then even average lyrics will finish it off.As it happens the lyrics on that are half decent .
I Like my music as odd and different as it gets but you still have to hold your hands up to some well crafted pop music .
