TBH, their recent (since 20 May) posts about us are complimentary. Samples:

  • I think it’ll be Sunderland that’ll win and the Cheats won’t so as well again next season whilst we finish above them on the table.
  • Over 40,000 Sunderland fans at Wembley.
  • I do feel a little for him, I think the pace and the bend took him by surprise and he may have been a little unsighted too, the more you watch it the better the strike gets, but yeah the keeper never looks good on them
  • Great strike, yes.
Will the keeper be disappointed, yes.
Better team leading and it could end up comfortable.
  • Congratulations Sunderland, it had to happen eventually!
  • Sunderland clearly the better side all through the game - they restricted Wycombe to very few chances and they always had the classier and more threatening attack with Pritchard and Stewart. Nice to see the League 1 pay-off final producing a veritable goalfest compared to the FA and League Cup finals.

This thread (a few individuals aside) is the reason you're so universally disliked. "What's a Shrewsbury", "Don't know where Shrewsbury is" and the like just shows how uneducated half of you are.

Some realism from one of your fans hit the nail on the head. You might get 30,000 at home, you might have a stadium that holds 40,000+ but you're into your 4th season in the third tier, and the way you played yesterday against a team already halfway on their holidays it'll likely be a 5th season. Face the facts, you're an established 3rd tier side these days.

The fact some of you think historical Shrewsbury is a shit hole, which by the way is regularly voted in the top 20 places to live, is absolutely absurd. Sunderland is quite possibly one of the worst looking, most in decline places I've had the misfortune to visit.

Three cheers to you bottling the playoffs if you scrape sixth, see you next year.
Oh dear

Every board has folk taking the piss mate or showing dis-respect for other clubs.
We have had it as much as anyone in L1.
Shrewsbury is a great place and I miss Gay Meadow as it was a unique ground nestled in by the river. Glad I was able to go there a few times.
