Helps what? It is honestly irrelevant.

Give him a 3 year contract and there’s clauses in about either party breaking the contract, it’ll be the same on a rolling contract but either party have the chance to walk away for nowt at the end of each season.

He could still leave/be sacked a month after signing a fixed term contract It’s really not a big issue

Ffs we are in league one and have Doyle and xhamalji as reserve centre half’s , along with onien who can play there. Having another one to replace Flanagan wasn’t necessary.
Speakmans success rate on transfers is pretty much the best we’ve ever had

tend to agree : whether he's on one year or three year would mean nothing to a club with parachute money to spend.

More important is that he feels he's at a club where he can achieve things .

His cv is already buffed up by this promotion ; he'd walk into many championship or Scots Prem clubs right now !
