Pope has been batting at four all season for Surrey and scoring a load of runs to be fair so it’s not like he’s going from five or six all the way up to three. The lad clearly has something special about him, I actually like he’s not being discarded because of a modest return so far.

Bairstow has scored tons at 3, and has experience there.
Btw I don't think Bairstow SHOULD be three, and he does get fucked about. But between him and Pope - who's never batted there - why the fuck would you put OP at 3 when you have JB who has SHOWN he can do the job?

I think they might go with Brook to avoid it being too much ‘same old same old’. If him and Potts debut it’ll still feel like a new era.
