Let's say they're right, our finances are awful and we go bust or whatever. Or go into administration and fall through the leagues further. What is the material benefit that offers that person? Their own lives aren't actually improved, it's not like if we're good Newcastle can't be good. They already have it really good at the moment. The only "benefit" is that they get to see our supporters suffer further. Now I'm all for having a laugh at other teams' expense, but they have that already. We are already in League One and they are the richest team in the world.

The level of glee from the idea of seeing us suffer further, for daring to support another football team, is absolutely deranged. Writing an article for the sole purpose of trying to ruin other people's fun is genuinely weird. Where has that hate come from? I suspect it is from being sucked into far too much online discourse and building this triabalistic level of hatred on the internet.

I know that the author of this article will be reading every one of these comments - I genuinely urge you to take a step back and get off the internet for a bit. If football and "rivalries" is too much for you then please find another hobby. That article is so deeply unhealthy it's unreal.
The worst perpetrators seem to be those who aren't from Newcastle desperately trying to prove their authentic Geordie credentials rather than being condemned as plastic invertebrate attention seekers. Durham Mags and the like many of whom are ridiculed by true Geordies and called "Mackems". Perhaps this is the rationale for these regular articles.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe your average ticket price was about £8.56 - £9 depending which article you read for the 19/20 season......if your attendance figures/match day revenue figures are accurate....and you played all games except the last 3 with crowds in SOL

So the reason our crowds have held up in league 1 is because we’re giving out thousands of free tickets!! Oh the irony.
What is it with these fuckers? I thought they were moving on into the stratosphere with their new beheading owners, yet they come to our games and still have continual pops at us.
Their obsession and inferiority complex simply never goes away it’s constant.
They should just disappear with their new mates and leave the true fans ......fans who aren't glory hunters or bankrolled by dubious owners to enjoy supporting proper football clubs.

Watching their dearly beloved get fucked daft off 'The Mackems' six times off the trot when its been drilled into them from birth that they're the superior NE race and Sunderlands a shithole and all the other drivel has broken many of them. Thats why they write shit like this. Thats why they've been spotted in attendance at god knows how many of our fixtures.

Odd bunch.
This is bang on. Its not just about football, they think Byker and Benwell is better than ashbrooke and cleadon. Proper superiority complex.

It's even spouted from women with no interest in football.

One of those things that if they repeat it enough it’ll be true. Like a safc fan shitting in the stadium.
It’s a massive superiority complex and they can only feel great by belittling others. Massive self worth , weird *****
Or Look North doing a Derby day match report and inventing a goal for them where in fact there wasn't one. And keep doing it all day!!

They're thick as as well so probably pay an accountant to do it for them

Who's David O'Brien by the way? Must have a serious obsession to be writing drivel like that. Is he writing similar on their about other clubs
The article actually says about David O'Brien "we're [True Faith] lucky to have him"

Seriously?

‘Whilst giving tickets away for free or at hugely discounted rates may be good to keep up the illusion of a “big club”, the new owners will need to decide whether they want to continue this generous ticket policy. It’s one of the main factors contributing to their financial plight.’

They’re such a weird lot like. Why would you take the time to write a full article about your league 1 rivals.

Rent free.
Can some fucker please direct me to where these free tickets are and where you can get them?

I think it’s time you took a break now, you are embarrassing yourself, unless of course you can show me these “articles”?

I won’t hold my breath

it's really quite simple.
Some knobhead makes it up and posts it on social media.
Then other knobheads believe it because they've just about managed to read it and it makes them feel better about themselves, even though they've had no influence over any of it even if it was true.
Living vicariously by association.
