I’ve a feeling we may see a 3, 4,5,6,7 or Brook, Root, Livingston, Stokes, Bairstow.

Foakes is making it very difficult to ignore him as well so that’s going to be a tough call early doors

He’s such a twat.

You just know had we appointed someone else he’d have said ‘we should have been thinking outside of the box and gone for someone like McCullum. He’s a good relationship with the England players, has a personality that will work with Stokes and was instrumental in transforming NZ’s red ball fortunes’.

Just a total gonk.

I mean, what does he even mean by that? What can he win? the test championship wasnt invented then

What did Vaughan win? The ashes, great, but he does realise NZ dont play in that :lol:
 
Massive, massive gamble he was a good captain for the kiwis. Everyone has their own ideas as their coach of choice. Not sure he would of taken it but Gillespie would of been my choice. A top guy with massive knowledge of the county game. McCullum is going to need a good chairman of selectors to assist him.
 
I think he's a top bloke and like his philosophy towards cricket, but his lack of experience is a concern given all the problems with the team. He's going to need to surround himself with some excellent subordinates.

It’s ddfeintely his weakness although silverwood n moores showed that coaching championship teams not necessarily suited to if

I know it’s not either or like

The one thing that worries me actually is I keep reading in the times and telegraph that he is mates with jimmy and broad and gets on with stokes

now you obviously want to get on with your captain to a degree, but you all need to be ruthless, win at al costs type stuff

Dont want this to be a cozy club, as this is what is was under silverwood

the players need challenged, especially the 2 bowlers

Don’t have any strong opinions myself, all very talented cricketers and if mccullum feels like he can get best out of them who knows

I wonder if we are in a situation where someone like Livingstone could end up opinion, wouldn’t rule of out :lol:
