Nope, definately seems the modern way to bat again. We were never gonna force follow on like
It's the whole tired bowlers plus potentially batting fourth on the worst wicket versus having enough time to take another ten wickets. If our bowlers are blowing out of their arses and at risk of injury then I think it's the right choice. I'd be more likely to enforce the follow-on for 80 all out type disastrous short innings.Dont really agree with decision, yes bowlers are tired but weve proven twuce that a full day doesnt get us near taking 10 second innings wickets. We have a massive lead.
Even another three wickets today would have given us a good chance of winning, Hope Im wrong and Scotty is correct but draw maybe favourite mow.

Did you hear Marty admitting to watching DarloStrange

What total we looking At? 420. With 20 overs left today. Gives Worcester a chance.

Definately some fair points here.Few factors that we need to consider there though, there’s still 40 odd overs left, so it’s conceivable that they’d have cut the deficit down under 130 without going at a great rate, for those three wickets you speak of. We would have a new ball of course, but three of our seamers bowled a decent spell in that 70 minutes after lunch where we were trying to get the final wicket. By enforcing the follow on, those bowlers would only get ten minutes rest before being asked to go again.
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense, batting was very easy today and the substantial lead we have is mainly down to the 4 wickets we were able to take very cheaply. There have already been quite a few examples this season of teams enforcing the follow-on on placid pitches and being completely blunted.
There’s 7 overs until Tea after this over, the lead is already up over 320 - we could bat for ten overs after Tea and get up over 450 lead without going especially berserk and then declare.
We need to leave them a minimum of 20 overs tonight I reckon, learn from the mistake against Leicestershire of waiting to long to declare.

Worse still if he had to play for DarloI think we would’ve done if we took the 10th wicket inside the first half an hour of the second session.
Could easily get a lead of 450 with 20 overs left tonight without going berserk.
Current run rate is 7.40.
Keep that up for the next 14 overs and we’d have a lead of 448. No slogging even needed.
Just doing his BBC duty man
Dickson 50 from 37 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes.
You're statistically more likely to win and less likely to lose apparently. We'd end up feeling a bit sick if Rushy or Potts picked up an injury.Nope, definately seems the modern way to bat again.
I agree with you. If we'd skittled them in a session then I'd hace made them follow on, but our bowlers had just bowled two and a half sessions with some long spells. If there's any doubt the skipper will consult the bowlersI think you have a bit of a duty not to destory young lads like Potts
plenty of time left, its just whether we are good enough now, not time

Their heads have gone down. If one gets out Stokes should come in at 3 imoall very weird this
