CC :: Worcestershire v Durham

I note on the you tube thing next to the stream, 7 are watching Marlborough College 2nd XI vs Eton College 2nd XI.

Don’t tell me the score and I’ll watch that tonight :lol:
Only been able to watch since tea. 3rd championship hundred of the season. He has had some stick on here with me included but what do folk think get him signed up now on a new contract or wait and see?

Dickson c Pollock b Barnard 104.

Double Nelson: 222-3 (67.2 overs).

not listening to my new best mate marty today, is the wicket flat? what they saying would be a good score?

It looks a cracking pitch for batting to be fair.

SO FAR - Barnard doing a Potts in terms of looking like the only threat.

Not sure necessarily of a good score, but based on what I’ve seen we should be majorly disappointed with anything short of 400.

To extend on this @GordonMuchallNo1Fan and with a comment from (I think) @smoker in mind about Joe Leach’s ‘appearance’ - he’s bowled some utter filth following his opening spell.

He looked a threat first thing, bowled tight and quite full - but he didn’t return before lunch and I thought it odd given he’s their main hand in this attack (or atleast appears to be).

Naturally my first thought based on what’s been alluded to was that he’s probably carrying a bit more weight than he’d like to and isn’t as fit as you’d like an opening bowler to be.

Could be wrong, their skipper might have a completely different philosophy regarding seamers to what I do, but on Day 1 with the pitch not turning at all and the innings being 70 odd overs old; I think I’d like my new ball bowler to have got through more than 14 overs in two spells.

He’s bowled three in truth, but one was a spell of just a solitary over and all the deliveries were about two foot outside off stump after Tea to Dickson when he was on 99. Could’ve easily been 3 or 4 of them called wide.

Anyway, new ball due in 6 overs, he’ll probably take three for nowt with it now I’ve got stuck into him.

Durham 252-3 - BADGER goes to 50 (68 balls with 8 fours). GTI!!!

Durham 285-3 (80 overs). Borthwick 64*, Bedingham 31*.

New ball due. And taken. Leach on to bowl.
