"Sources close to the bid insist there is interest in the offer among the club's owners, however, the chairman Louis-Dreyfus is not one of them and remains committed to Sunderland, regardless of which league the team is playing in next season, according to a statement issued to Sportsmail by the Black Cats."

Hmmm....

Pretty sure he said at this present time while we are still in league 1. Makes sense as the chuckle brothers have to till pay their percentage while we are still here. I think he would be prepared to buy them out IF we got promoted. Add in they will try to avoid paying any outstanding debts to us as we know they are tighter than a ducks arse .
Who in their right mind would sell just before heading into the play offs? It's mischievous at best , and totally piss poor behaviour at worst
they have paid around 80 per cent of their funding commitment...

KLD hasn’t been perfect, but he’s better than Storey. At least KLD actually has some cash.
Yep he has cash ,and also a very well developed lying gland!................. if your a billionaire interested in buying into football surely your interest would be tweaked by a third division( sorry im old) getting a bigger crowd for a playoff game than the Europe league final!why does safc attract such clowns as owners?

"He has not had any contact with any party wishing to purchase the club,' the spokesman added.

Suggests that if there is a bid (there probably isn't, and certainly not a credible one) it's only gone to one or more of the other shareholders. Ignoring storey for now it raises an interesting question - what happens if the other 3 all sell up? How secure is KLDs full control? Is it written into a shareholder agreement or is there a chance that the arrangement would end when the others sell. Effectively, could KLD eventually end up with 41% and not have overall control, and where would that leave him?

Did anyone spot the lad in the roker end wearing a rich energy jacket the other week. Think it was the Cambridge match

This is why it’s a complete clusterfuck.

Either have a consortium where everybody is singing from the same hymn sheet or have one bloke who owns 100%. Otherwise you end up with these daft situations such as ours. 2, potentially 3, of the 4 shareholders want out, but own a majority. The one with the largest shareholding is limited by them as to what he can do.

It’s a joke. f***ing shambles.
