He's only sorry about the fact that this has become far bigger than his tiny mind realised was possible. By the rule of the land, the thick bastard is looking at a minimum of large fine and given the deliberate intent to offend and the publicity now surrounding this, potentially a prison sentence.

You don't deserve criticism but I think the lad is taking the piss out of you, given the fact he's been sending messages to people where he sounds anything but remorseful. If he was genuinely sorry he'd post it himself on his own social media where his friends can see it, rather than hoping he can get someone else to put it on a message board for him.

K'inell, iv'e seen more meat on a vegetarians toothpick. That is horrendous behaviour. Not so much the statue, it's a lump of steel and stone at the end of the day but as others have said, flowers have been laid down for a death or some sort of anniversary. Could even be the poor chap who died at one of your home game a couple of months ago. Whoever laid them will be fully aware of what has happened by now and that must be the biggest insult they could have imagined. It's desecration. I can't speak for all of you but i was a bit of a rebel when i was a late teenager early 20s as most were but i don't remember ever being such a twunt that i would dream of anything like that. Must be a special kind of mentality to get a kick out of that. There is no way he could not see those flowers but went ahead and did it anyway. The apology is as embarrassing as his actions and if his dad is a lecturer and it was he who wrote it then he should be ashamed of it too because it's pitiful. Sorry for what he has done? i don't think so. Sorry he has been caught? oh yes. It's a bit lie when murderers get caught then always find Jesus and want their sins absolving. Im sick to death of seeing things like this on a daily basis, young lads carrying knives etc, it's about time someone gave one of them a bit of a lesson in manners anyway. Society is missing proper punishment.

Putting this out here right now.

I’m 61, served 33 years in UK and Australia. Served in the Falklands, Gulf and Iraq. I have nothing at all to do with him. Never met him or his family, nor do I want to.

I was asked to facilitate as I am known on this board. Simple as that. Nothing else.

Do I think he was wrong to do it, damn right I do. One of the many hats I wore in the military included mediation and intervention. Hence I was “asked” to help if I could. I could so I did. End of

Aside from the pissing thing why are kids of today all dressing in jogging bottoms and sweatshirts? I was out on Saturday night for the first time in a while and I was amazed to see so many scratter types in the pub. When the turn had finished some of these scrotes were up 'rapping' on the mic. I say rapping but it's all sped up shite. I must be just too old for it all now! Feel like I'm in a parallel universe sometimes observing the future downfall of mankind but in fact it's actually reality! :)
