NUFC and other Sportswashing Spring 2022

I grew up in South Shields in a post 92 world so was always around Mags, most my mates are, it's just the way it is.

I live in Wallsend now though, and went to college for a couple years in Newcastle. Its f***ing mental how some of them over this side of the water talk about Sunderland and "mackems" absolute bile- without ever having been or had to do with the supporters or city. It reminds me of my racist mother in law talking about immigrants  they are f***ing tapped

This fits right in with them lot like. There's very few Geordies I've met who would dare venture into Sunderland, you'd think it was a different country

Thats bullshit to be fair. The away fans were a bit louder than normal but they were minutes from promotion.
The atomsphere against Rotherham was very good I thought. There are big lulls in chanting/singing but i think thats typical of all seater stadiums these days tbh.
To be honest its not just Sunderland, most Geordies never go anywhere else but Newcastle its the same if you try and get them to Durham or anywhere that isn't the city centre.

We had nearly double your attendance when we had a brief season smashing thr championship. The fact is we were one of the biggest clubs around in the 90s and in the champions league and Europe in the 00s even before rich owners so we are just getting back to our natural level. Think yourselves lucky you had Ashley killing us for 14 years.
Getting back to your natural level, love it.

You do realise that in your entire history, including that brief spell you mentioned when Shepherd and Hall nearly bankrupted the club in order to punch above your weight, your average or ’natural level’ is 13-14th in the league.

But not to us there won’t, and that’s all that really matters to us.
Let’s just say in hypothetical terms, we spend a fortune and win say the FA Cup. Not one fan in Wembley is going to think
“great win but there’s an element of hollowness about it”
We’ll be absolutely celebrating wildly.

I’m not being noble at all. I’m just telling you my thoughts on it. We’ve been bought out, are showing ambition, making decent signings with more to come and we’re enjoying a good run of form.
Off the back of that, the city is buzzing and the atmosphere and feel good factor is currently through the roof. Because of that I’m buzzing and excited for what potentially may come.

Well of course youse won't if you're there because you'll already be fully bought in to the idea of them by then. Most of youse are past the point of no return anyway.

But it'll always be there. Regardless of how much you argue the point or how wildly you'll celebrate.
NUFC aspirations- champions league

Little old Sunlun aspirations-championship

Says it all. We worship Bruno you worship luke o nien

Triggered as fuck.
That's cool, but you don't have a club anymore. Which is a shame really, as much as I disliked Newcastle Utd, I respected what it represented for working class people in the city. And now you've lost it.

Good way of describing it mate. I don't really see them as being the Newcastle from before. Glad they like their shiny new blood stained club though.

No we just have high standards and don’t accept dross like you lot. We would never end up in league 1 never have in our history
Yet, here you are. We live rent free in your little mind don’t we.

Hello again @Wolfbeard @Fitzgerald

Why wouldn’t we be on about champions league? We made it on several occasions before Ashley came along. Any half ambitious owners who came in after him would have us in with a chance of getting back there. I think we will be top 6 next season and top 4 the one after.

Seen the state of that flag display you lot did the other night, call us for doing it but least ours is good in a packed stadium more empty seats than flags man :lol::lol: tragic. We have sold out more home games this month than you lot have in the past decade:lol: we got one player worth more than your whole club man.

If you lot thought that the Keegan and Robson years were bad watching us in Europe while you languish in the wilderness was bad that will be nowt compared to what’s coming!
oh look @honest mag liking this.

Snidey f***ing wanker
I was fuming at his insult but if you read back I did not offer a single threat so get your facts right!
Look at the f***ing state of you man, making up that you have a grandson in our academy, you’re warped man.

Thing is, it’s absolutely nowhere near as big of a deal as you make it out to be. The overwhelming majority of people are completely indifferent about it.
Not one set of supporters has come to St James and made an issue of it, no protests, no outcry at all other from what I see from around a dozen posters on this thread.
I get, and I really do, that you’d love us to be the outcasts due to being under PIF ownership, but unfortunately it’s just not resonating with people.
Naturally it’s a comfort blanket for a small minority of Sunderland fans to cling too and if it helps you stomach the turnaround in fortunes at NUFC then continue on with it by all means, but honestly, nobody else cares.

Natural level......don't kid yourself that Mags are some big hitters!

Post WWII 15.31
WWII to Ashley 15.61
Prem Years= 11.17

Wins = 4
2nd = 2

i.e. 18 times in 118 seasons in top 4. Massive my arse.

Awaits ‘net spend’

I honestly don’t get this kind of comment. Yes I know I’m on a mackem board bla bla bla, but I’ve come on here for a bit back n forth which I’m not going to get on a nufc forum ( never been on one btw). Does that mean I’m obsessed with yous lot ?? I’ll admit some of the stuff you see on Twitter is cringey as fuk, but I see it coming from the other side aswell. The truth is yous are our one and only rival being stuck right up here on our own, so who else is their to take the piss out of. I don’t mean that in a piss taking way. It’s just a fact.
Piss off Dan, back into the sewer

Mate, you spend far too much time looking into anything and everything concerning nufc to make it suit a certain agenda. I thought I was reading a Gary Neville column last week when you came out with possession stats, balls into the box, goals from direct play etc etc. I can barely tell who Sunderland are playing week to week but I’ll be the one being called an obsessive.
