Like I said, cherry picking a (dubious) example isn’t exactly helping you here. If you’re saying “well we created five chances against mighty Shrewsbury” (Embleton’s goal was a superb stroke, and not exactly a chance created anyway), then it tells the whole story.

I'm not sure a free kick bouncing off a wall to Embleton twenty yards out and their keeper fumbling a shot down the centre of the box to Broadhead is us creating chances really mind. All count the same when they hit the back of the net don't get me wrong but it was hardly free flowing stuff of us carving them open for the goals.

Created more against Lincoln when we didn't score than we did against Shrewsbury.

Precisely right.

When it was 2-2 in the 92nd minute v Shrewsbury, or 1-1 in the 89th minute v Oxford, or 1-1 after about 75 mins v Fleetwood, or 0-0 after 95 mins against Gillingham, how many people were saying, “it’s a shame we haven’t won today, because we’ve played so well”?

A spell of very late, often dubiously deserved late goals has been welcome, but it’s also papered over some pretty obvious cracks. We are not looking like a good side going forward at the moment. Thats only half the game of course, and we also have to acknowledge that we are - by and large - defending pretty well. However, it’s not going to be easy to get out of this league this season, unless we start looking like a lot more of a threat in our general play.

We earned the free kick on the edge of their box. Shrewsbury, through Flanagan scored in a similar manner to us.

Gooch had a decent effort of target. We had other efforts.

We created a shed load against Lincoln and fair few chances against Charlton too.

Everyone is happy with the results in the main. Some of us are just pointing out that we are are not playing well going forward, we don’t create many chances. and we’ve been an aggregate ten minutes away from our season being well and truly over across about four games recently. We were never going to keep popping up with unlikely stoppage time winners. If we don’t play better, and soon, results will most likely suffer.

He's not confusing results and form. We are top of the form league - and results match that! 😀
 
Both teams looked tired, as can be the case in the Easter weekend fixtures. We had to battle against Shrewsbury and then had to travel the length of the country a few days later against a side who are very impressive at home.

It’s in our hands.

As long as we beat Cambridge and Rotherham (that will be tough I know) then I think we’ve done enough. Saturday’s fixtures are crucial given all teams at the top are seemingly facing each other, we need to capitalise against Cambridge, but they are in really good form themselves.
