Even the usuals who leave early around me and me dar in the SWC stayed about til the death, as alluded to earlier it’s probably fear of missing out because of the regular occurrence of an extremely late winner.

Only exception was the mortal guy who had to be helped to his seat by a steward 10 minutes in to the match who then;
- didn’t watch a single second of the first half because he was waffling to a married couple next to him or with his head down
- suddenly burst to life in the second half blurting out cliched shouts which didn’t apply to the current scenario.
Left on 78 minutes saying this is why he gave up with us five year ago.

Also the couple he was waffling on to didn’t turn back in for the second half so I’m classing them as leaving early ha.

Block L15 ? With a face mask on, a plastic bag and a beanie hat from about the 1988 season ?!?
🤣🤣🤣

They 100% moved seats
Had a feeling they did like, the drunken fella in question even said to me dar at like 50 minutes that he thought he’d pissed them off and ever the diplomat got the reply of “nah, they’re probably just having a pint down below man”

Think everyone around knew they’d go with some of the stuff the bloke was coming out with mind.

That’s the fella! Right next to us, dropped his bait at one point too and it honked

Yep. I felt your pain.
I was howling when he came in. He actually looked like a homeless person who had been given a ticket.
When the wifey steward showed him to a seat and was practically apologising to everyone I was gobsmacked she was letting him in 🤣🤣🤣

You don’t sit behind us do you? When the steward apologised I was howling cos you was mentioning that if he needs to go to the toilet I saw my fathas face turn.

In hindsight, the bloke was harmless really but aye, very surprised he got in and the specialist service to find his seat haha.

Atmosphere after the match was better than before and during 🤣🤣
I don’t know why anyone would leave early. What you leaving for ? To get home to sit in and watch any and Dec a bit earlier ?!? Ffs 🤣🤣
12 mins past 5 metro gets me into Newcastle to get my connection train down to Sheffield with time for a pint, anything later in fucked.

I had to miss yesterday away with family and all that, so how many out of 33,000 booed?
You only need a 100 people or so booing to make a noise.
I prefer to concentrate on the majority who still backed the lads rather than the few bellends.

It's difficult to say really. But the ironic cheers when Gooch went off were loud and noticeable. Evans was slightly different, he was warming up to come on at 2-1, they then scored again, the crowd got frustrated and we had a poor passage of play just before he came on which the crowd booed. I took the booing to be directed at the team rather than the sub but no doubt some will have been booing Evans. The Gooch one was pathetic though.

I never understand leaving early? It's a well designed stadium, only takes 10 minutes to empty.
Even traffic isn't that bad really once you get out.
Slow down.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The noise after the winner was brilliant. I also though the pre match rendition of Wise men say was excellent as well, more so than normal
