I wonder what it would take for the government to change their position on the Saudi state? Obviously their human rights record is nee bother. Hacking up journalists is fine. Their murder in the Yemen is all good if you want to own a football club. Would it take a direct attack on Israel before our government would act?
Nothing less than the discovery of the world’s biggest oil and gas field inside UK territorial waters.

Ok, let’s say for the sake of debate I believe you.
You’d walk away, you’d never go back and you’d renounce x amount of years of support for your club.
The fact is though, wether you like it or not, they’d be queuing up to take your seat and the stadium would be full and no longer half full as it currently is under the stewardship of Donald.

Simple as that.
Not necessarily true though Cyril
The problem you and some other fans of your club have is seemingly a sense of entitlement
Youve never suffered mate, and you have never b een down in the depths, halfway up the prem under Ashley you were calling for bloody boycotts, never outta the media screaming about where you deserve to be.
I'm not slating the size of the club, nor the passion of most of the supporters, but crikey, some of the f,ookin' whining over the last few years.
You have never dropped below the 2nd tier and trekked to some of these outposts, had one man and his f.ookin' dog tip up on the away end on a Tuesday night in February.
It changes your whole outlook on football, and how patently unfair it is at the minute.
You build up a resentment for teams that are subsidised by billionaires, and have an affinity with such as Accy stanley, morecambe etc, you respect how they do it.
Reading this forum, Sunderland fans accept they are where they deserve to be, same as us
But
if you think Newcastle would get 50'000 after a few years down here, when they actually whine like f.ook when they are halfway up the prem..yer bloody deluded.
when a clubs football fans have gone through that, and suffered cos clubs like yours get the "Golden ticket"..They resent all it stands for, and they continue to do so
So yea..Sunderland or most any other clubs would get decent crowds given your circumstance, but they would be mainly bleedin' tourists
