Yeah it's ridiculous if true. The same with Harry Maguire getting booed playing for England. It's like fans think it'll improve the player or that they have a right to say who should play. It's a reflection on modern society.Evans booed before kick off according to the Roker Report podcast
Some people want to give there head a shake if that's the case
They should all be turfed out and be banned from ever coming again. Disgusting.
Don't agree with those saying it hasn't achieved anything.
It was Villa and Sheff Utd players that decided to do it first, without Premier League approval. Then it was the captains of clubs who met and actioned it further, not the Premier League.
Once people representing BLM movement started sharing political views their banners got dropped and the Premier League founded No Room For Racism, followed by Not Today or Anyday in the EFL.
NRFM has helped establish new coaching courses to promote inclusion of underrepresented groups, new reporting systems and media to help recognise, acknowledge and report racism at matches, including the SMS service if people are uncomfortable as well as delivering sessions at schools.
That's what the taking the knee is about isn't it? Removing the small, institutional, unconscious biases that we all have to varying degrees to stop making it difficult for certain sections of society to achieve more.
Football has led the way, using its huge viewing figures. I think it's fair to say it's contributed to other sports founding similar groups to promote inclusion and educate too.
as soon as someone uses the term 'snowflake' you can picture everything about them. basically big racists
i know skylon personally and he isnt a racist like many on here and inside of the sol

Canny backtrack.

It should do, I posted about it in this thread.![]()
And he's just destroyed your point
BTW your claim of 'many' is incredibly vague and relative.
How many racists are there on this thread for example?
Being against the knee doesn't make you a racist.
Besides, the knee is about all kinds of injustice and intolerance.
No idea why people can only see this as a racism issue when that was dropped by the EFL.
If the various initiatives are excellent, then it has done its job.Its a brilliant gesture.I agree with almost all of that and always have, the various initiatives are excellent.
My issue is that the kneeling gesture will be forever associated with George Floyd, a very poor choice of marryr in the first place imo. I also don't like to see the clench fists as I think that sends out the wrong signal, especially to children.
Once the BLM aspect was dropped, correctly imo again, the protest started to fragment and not all players want to continue. If that reaches a 50/50 split then that's another poor signal with a touch of 'us and them' about it.
The message from the EFL is now a sort of 'be nice and tolerant' effort without much focus or impact. Football, and the spectators, have done their bit with this but I really believe its time to stop it. Every football player has the right to continue to campaign and join or instigate initiatives but the kneeling can't just drag on indefinitely imo.
I personally have little problem with it but it's no longer of any interest either.
seemingly notThought we would be past the booing nonsense by now?
Thought you said everyone was a racist? And he's just destroyed your point

Why are you bothered what he thinks? You said yourself that everybody is a racist. Therefore you think everyone booing is a racistI was asking @nayrboss for his opinion not giving mine.
He hasn't answered yet but I'm sure he will.
Great story! Thanks for that, it's good to know that not everyone sees everything only as black or white and can be honest about their preferences.
To answer you, and a previous point, I'd clarify what I said about South Africans. I was in Europe and involved in a large project involving many countries. There were VIP delegates, and staff, from all over the world so a real mix. I was mainly working with the staff, during the day, and at dinners or events in the evening with the delegates.
The Europeans, Americans, etc, had good teams whereby everyone was generall equal. The South African delegation were very awkward to deal with and eventually became a little isolated as people avoided them. That only increased their general spikiness and bombastic nature.
Part of the reluctance of people to mix was that the white people amongst them, mainly delegates, were incredibly rude and sometimes openly racist towards the, mainly black, workers. At first I'd pull them up on the racism whereupon they'd become sarcastic, sometimes slightly aggressive. They'd 'circle the wagons' and loudly defend themselves until they succeeded in shouting you down.
I'd 'get a dig in' by loudly laughing at the bar with the black lads who were great crack, the white people would then shun me the next day. So I now avoid white S. Africans and have a hefty bias against them. Some people would call me racist because of that and they may be right. But I still believe everyone has races/nationalities/ethnicities they favour above others. If we all had to list them all, in order of preference, someone would come bottom.
Ironically Ukrainians would've moved up the 'league table' recently despite having a very poor record of racism themselves.
Why are you bothered what he thinks? You said yourself that everybody is a racist. Therefore you think everyone booing is a racist
And true.Great story!
