Chimbonda looked like a marathon runner and didn't have shinpads on so knew he wouldn't tackle and was shite,
Bernard was better but like a tank

Aye but my point is, a lot of fans are easy to slate a player when in fact they are decent and we should know we won't buy better. Especially under Ellis Short and Donald

Bardsley by a mile. Chimbonda was nowt but trouble. Went on like an absolute twat when Keane equalised against us about a month after he'd left to go back to Spurs.

Chimbonda may have had a bigger reputation, but Beardsley was by far and away the better player for us.

Was still playing in the prem years after we'd ditched him and been relegated.

Bardsley was always a weird scapegoat on here. We had way worse problems than him. He was a very solid premier league right back for us. From when he left to when we were relegated from the prem, he was never properly replaced.
