Bardo or Chimbo

I don't think it's nonsense at all tbh.

I can see both sides.

It's not the 90's anymore. Clubs do anything they can these days to eek out that extra 1/2% performance from players. We have sports scientists, nutritionists, sports psychologists etc.

All seems a bit of a waste if players are going out getting spangled half a dozen times a season.

Nah I don't buy it. These are professional athletes getting paid millions per year competing in the top league in world football.

Opinions are like arseholes etc.

I don't think it's wrong to expect them to look after themselves.

You obviously don't mind them going out getting pissed, that's fine.

It’s utter nonsense

Also Bardsley wasn’t getting pissed, not an ounce of fat on him

It was an end of season celebration.

Honestly man hes still in the premier league at what 36.37? And you’re trying to suggest he had a drinking problem?

What an utter embarassing post :lol:
Spot on. Plus it can be argued if they improved their eating/drinking habits then they could be even better.

People have said for a while players were taking the piss up here and there was a drinking culture, we constantly underachieved imo. It's funny how we regularly turned things around in an effort to survive.

 Sigh

Even after all this time people still don’t get it and trot out these lazy lies

It’s actually sad that our fans still fall for this shit

Well we have fans booing players taking the knee so doesn’t surprise me, very much the same fans
And? That doesn't stop him being a mediocre PL player does it? He also hasn't played a game this season.

We are in fuckin league one yet you think he was part of the problem

I think it's even more sad that you can't accept that people have a different opinion from you at times. Unsure how anyone can be in support of professional footballers getting bladdered, they're well paid and as a result should be professional enough to make sure their diet and drinking habits are spot on as well as the way they carry themselves considering they're in the public eye.

Bardsley all day. Was underrated on here let's be honest.

Yeah he's going a bit OTT like all because someone has a different opinion.

Absolute utter nonsense

You must hate Quinn then

Do you have any idea how much he used to drink?

You’re the exact type of fan I was trying to highlight

You just don’t get it

The most unprofessional players we had like ndong n co didn’t even drink

Incorrect

He’s still in the prem now
Has been in the prem consistently since he signed for us. Chimbonda had a spell at Washington ffs.

Bardsley was really good for us. Since leaving he has managed over 100 more premier League games while we have got stuck in this shite league.

It’s utter nonsense Bardsley is not a drinker who drank all the time

Hence why he’s still in the premier league at 37 and you’re an internet troll

The biggest myth going

Catts, o Shea, Larson, brown, manone, Bardsley we’re a credit ti the club and the main reason we were a premier league for so long

It’s a shame the big money signings we made to play along side them were so bad and so unprofessional, lens, ndong, rodwell etc I could go on

The fact you still can’t see that was the issue just makes my despair and realise that despite the trauma of the last few years people still don’t get

So bad it’s funny

Luckily by the unsual amount of likes I’m getting here it seems you are the exception not the rule

I never said he was part of the problem, maybe read my posts back.

Always is, saying things like nonsense and calling people embarrassing for an innocuous post. Seems to make something out of nothing.

He also seems to have forgotten his instagram post that mocked our defeat against Fulham, it was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. He was a steady player for us, but to push on we needed better, unfortunately we struggled to find better for whatever reason. He battled, but his defending at times was below par.

Being photographed on his back in a casino with money strewn on top of him was pathetic.

Bardsley was brilliant for us, never understood people moaning about him, he was a solid defender and had a good shot on him as well.

I suppose he soured a canny few with that post laughing at us getting beat by Fulham under Di canio on the opening day of the season but even after that when he come back in under Poyet he was topper.
He done a few stupid things while here.

The casino incident was dumb. DI Canio hated him. Thought he was a poison in the squad and publicly said it, so a lot of fans took it that he was the rotten core

Proper bloke was Bardo. Knew his job was to defend and he was very good at it.

Him, Makin and Kubiki are the only right backs I remember being real standouts tbh.

Chimbonda was a better player, but we were aware he was an utter twat long before he arrived here - the transfer request in his shorts on the final day playing for Wigan (was it a relegation battle?) showed us that.

Bardsley just seems to have a better attitude and mentality.

Depends which Bardo turned up. The one that was trying to prove a point because he'd been dropped/replaced/we were playing Man U/Man City/Liverpool, or the complacent Bardo that would daydream about a Tuesday sesh in The Mill.

Quality wise, Chimbonda was the best right back we had in those ten Premier League seasons.
I reckon quality wise Reveillere might have been, but we only got the very end of his career.

Hmm, possibly. He was class for me on PES at least.

Not always. Like I say, he was a different player when he got a bee in his bonnet, but became complacent each and every time he won back a starting place. Frustrating.
