Booing prior to the kick off.

Pathetic from those booing and makes the club look like small minded yokels.

Although I'd love boo - urns ....we could explain that haha

I dont agree with the actual act of taking the knee but the thought process and awareness peice behind it I do. Let's clap it and show it has no place in modern society and get on to endurance test that is SAFC. Booing it is pathetic

.Its opened a conversation up to them, about treating your fellow man/woman with respect.Let the snowflakes boo if they want to,it's their right, but don't give in to them.Unity is strength!
Snowflake!A racist word in no uncertain terms to describe a white man. So where is your respect and strength in unity. Reverse racism is still racism.

Just watched match of the day and it showed Newcastle clapping the knee like all the other Prem clubs. I don’t think the demographics are that different between the cities so why do we appear to have more racist / poorly educated / anti marxist statue huggers coincidentally with BNP tattoos/ coked up losers

Will the mags clapping it stop their owners chopping people’s heads off and bombing innocent children? If so, I’m all for us doing it again.

The fact you’re using the hypocrisy of the mags & premier league, doesn’t suggest to me it’s worthwhile SAFC or any other clubs players continuing to do it. If they no longer wish.

in your view is doing the 'right thing' just about towing the line of public acceptance since they're actually backed by genocidal maniacs?

this is what life has gotten down to nowadays - hundreds of thousands of starving bairns in one of the richest countries in the world, but we're too busy figuring out whether you boo or not when people kneel at the footie.

proper bread and circuses stuff.

The taking of the knee is brilliant. To see black ,and white players showing unity by taking the knee together,is such a powerful gesture.I think it brought the England team a sense of togetherness in the euros. And a siege mentality against the booers, and the likes of Priti Patel and that.Older racists won't have their minds changed, but I am sure this has been an inspiration for kids. Its opened a conversation up to them, about treating your fellow man/woman with respect.Let the snowflakes boo if they want to,it's their right, but don't give in to them.Unity is strength!
In theory you're right. It is a top notch gesture that all kneel together regardless of background.

And at the time, as a one-off protest I got it. However, when something is done to death people sicken of it.

It also loses it's effectiveness if you overdo it as it becomes "normal".

By the way, you've got gammon and snowflake mixed up, as the snowflakes on the left are more likely to support it. The gammons on the right are amongst those likely to boo.

I've already commented, I'll not boo. However, I just want the game to be played these days without any fuss and I just want to escape the outside world for 90 minutes. If the need to make a gesture comes, fine, but let's make it a one-off and not do it tp the point where people are sick of the sight of it.

We have "kick it out" that doesn't impinge on the game and isn't rooted in the unfortunate death of a known felon. The person responsible for George Floyd's death is in prison now However, the victim was a known recidivist being arrested for yet another crime. Given the "taking the knee" gesture comes from that, I can't support it. A criminal is being made into an anti-hero.

I'm not a racist (I've already said I'm moderate centre-left), I'm just stating how I feel.

Just a couple of things. You can refer to right wing people, who get outraged at everything,as snowflakes as well. Then you say it's a top notch gesture, but then you say it comes from a criminal(getting killed,by the way),so you cannot support it.And I would just like to also add,I don't care if George Floyd was a criminal.Nobody deserves to be killed, yes killed(not an unfortunate death, purposefully killed),like he was.The taking the knee gesture, has also been around long before this. And,the likes of my son and daughter, have asked me some important questions about racism, and morals in general, because they have seen players taking the knee. They never even started a discussion because of the kick it out campaign. It is well meaning, but rather invisible.Oh,and you can be racist and moderate centre left ,you know?

Why is a group of men kneeling for a couple of seconds a fuss?! Christ man, you're making out we have to watch like a 20 minute documentary on racial equality before each game.

Its really simple this kneeling malarkey. It has zero impact on our match day experience. If you think it does, well, I think that's a reflection on you.

It has zero impact full stop. Meaningless gesture, if people want to boo, clap, ignore it then so what. Means nothing at this stage.

The average age of those booing is very likely to be around 17. It’s a load of kids, thick as pigshit doing it. It’s a microcosm of our support.
I disagree. Bloke in front of me, about 50, did it. The only people I’ve physically seen boo have been older than me (39).

It's a strange one. We sit in the West stand and its mainly older people around us and yes the booing is audible but when I look around I've never actually seen anyone doing it!

It’s hypocritical bollocks and deep down people know it.

The mags players take the knee, the mags fans clap whilst waving the Saudi flag and chanting “we’re richer than you!” Great way of ending all forms of social injustice isn’t it?

The Premier League claim to encourage ending all forms of social injustice, yet happily wave through and turn a blind eye to states with questionable human rights records owning football clubs.

No wonder “normal” people are sick to death of the hypocrisy and greed in modern football.

You're absolutely spot on, it's all just to look after their image on the public facing broadcasts. Meanwhile in the background there's a murderer running one of England's bigger clubs.

Mind, that doesn't mean booing well meaning players is right, it doesn't send the right message, it just looks ignorant.
