Booing prior to the kick off.

The taking of the knee is brilliant. To see black ,and white players showing unity by taking the knee together,is such a powerful gesture.I think it brought the England team a sense of togetherness in the euros. And a siege mentality against the booers, and the likes of Priti Patel and that.Older racists won't have their minds changed, but I am sure this has been an inspiration for kids. Its opened a conversation up to them, about treating your fellow man/woman with respect.Let the snowflakes boo if they want to,it's their right, but don't give in to them.Unity is strength!

“Daddy why is Harry Kane kneeling before kick off?”
“It’s a thing to show he believes we shouldn’t discriminate because of race”
“Got it thanks, I think we win today”

It helps over generations, not over weeks and months

If someone could tag me when we get onto Marxism that would be super. Thanks

No need for me mate been married 20 years, saying that I'm still partial to a posh wank now and again
Remember as a teenager were ads on the telly and massive durex safe sex campaigns . Haven’t seen any for years and haven’t used one myself for at least 10 years (in the brief fumblings I get nowadays :lol:)

I still think most of them kneel.Or am I mistaken?

Just found this.

One third of English Football League clubs have decided to stop taking the knee against racism and are aiming to find alternative methods to show their support.

Nine of the 24 teams in the Championship alone are no longer participating in the movement, traditionally performed just before kick-off to raise awareness and highlight the fight against racial abuse and discrimination.

Add that to all the premier clubs,it's still most clubs

'The outside world' is bigger and more important than football, not vice versa.

You sound like Alan Brazil.
Yes, the outside world is bigger than football.

However, is it not too much to ask that we can switch off from the outside world for a couple of hours.

We already have "Kick it out" that does not impinge on the game. Do we need an American import protest in addition? As I said, I'm not taking the knee for the admittedly tragic death during arrest of a confirmed felon.

As commented, a one off protest at the time I get. But as said, it is now pointless, ineffective and quite frankly boring.

Neither are the players

To the positive, I see many fans clapping the taking of the knee. I'm also pleased when I see our players applauding the gesture. Pritchard always does, so too Neil. AOB did when he was with us, also.
Do you not think it’s weird how it’s only 5 seconds long and you are standing watching each players reaction?

People just love to be outraged

Still the majority then. One poster said the majority didn't take the knee. Cheers for proving him wrong.
