I remember it fairly well. The grief the Miners got for their actions was full on.

How many kid's, journalist's, homosexuals, raped women deaths did Di Canio sanction?

MODS this filthy stinker is nothing but a TROLL who brings nothing but abuse to the forum

You’re not wrong to presume that at all.
Football fans turn a blind eye to pretty much anything if they think silverware is forthcoming.
You mean like turning a blind eye to a journalist being dismembered, or a child being blown to pieces in front of his/her parents or is that turning a blind eye to 81 heads being cut off in public execution square, or is it turning a blind eye to the arranged proposed marriage to an 11 year old girl. Well I can say with hand on heart if my club was ran be people like this I could not support them in any way shape or form. You can try all you like to try and justify your it’s our club we support and not the regime, but the truth of it all is that you would not have that same way of thinking should your owners be skint. That’s all it is ££££££,,,everything else is colateral damage. I would also add that I would rather languish in league one watching terrible football week after week than have a shiny trophy bought for us but murdering scum.
Fuck off man you terrorist supporting mag bastard, have an ignore
I think the Middle East politics isn’t what’s being discussed here. Don’t confuse politics with genocide and murder. Oh and as Wane the punk already said fuck off terrorist supporting bastard.
Imagine a Sunday league team had their pub sponsor pull out and i your team were taken over by Jimmy Saville. Would you accept that or be a bit miffed.

Again, I’m not trying to justify anything or myself to anybody. I’ve simply no issue in saying im happy to continue supporting my club.
And for what’s it’s worth, I believe that you’d walk away if the shoe was on the other foot, but you know as well as I do that’d they be queuing up to take your seat.

Do you condone or condem the murders that your owners are doing on a daily basis. Simple question. I’m not asking if you support your club but more are you ok with evil owners.

Let’s see the turn out.
Naturally, you being a long standing advocate of Middle Eastern politics will be there ?
You are a tosspot. Are you genuinely trying to use peoples lack of long-term interest in Saudi regime as a means of belittling them?

Find your testicles, find your brain cells, forget NUFC and football for one second and admit that LGBTQ+ supporters association are well with their rights and have legitimate reasons to protest.

Yeah I condemn actions and customs of Saudi Arabia. But hand on heart, it’s not going to make me turn my back on the club.

They are within their rights to protest. Of course they are.

Actually I did a twitter poll on the #safc and asked pif or madrox and pif won by 80-20.
Tommo ftm.
f***ing hell
Please don't tell me you're so obsessed with us that you made a log in with ftm in to pretend to be a sunderland fan :lol::lol:

Exactly @mad cyril
There was loads of arguing on here. People for and against. People giving up season tickets. PDC had to come out and make a statement renouncing facism.

Have your fans wanted your owners to renounce facsim, homophobia, human rights abuses , etc
No, you turn a blind eye and defend the indefensible
It'd absolutely shocking tbh.
Unless of course you think PDC is far worse than the KSA?
The morals on you , you absolute repugnant human being

It's great to see that MBS has decided that he cannot afford to bomb Yemeni kids and bankroll the Scum.
Thank god a few kids are safe now so that the spotrwashers can buy another couple of planks in the close season.
Hope the ceasefire becomes permanent.

Already said I'm willfully ignorant to the geopolitics and more concerned about my football team. I know you're all academics on here though and know the intricacies of middle Eastern politics.

I am an academic with a decent knowledge of the ME and especially the economics of KSA. But you really don't need that level of knowledge to feel uncomfortable about the owners. That long proud history prostituted for a few signings.

I did find your comment ironical as many Newcastle fans are all over social media telling us the 82 executed were all terrorists (I didn't know the ability to read Arabic was so extensive on Tyneside) and that the Saudi's were bombing Yemen at the request of the president (again unaware your average mag was so up on ME tensions) or being able to cite the various investments of PiF, albeit with zero knowledge of what a majority shareholding is.

On the one hand you can say they are just the providers of capital and many owners have murky pasts but when you throw in the flags on social media, the team visiting KSA and been paraded around, the above sportswashing, the persecution of gays and the general lack of freedom of a Saudi Citizen (11th worst in the world) then you see that the average NUFC has the ability to ignore all of the above just to sign some players. I am certain that further down the line when fans reflect on this it will be with a tinge of embarrassment.

I have met many Saudi people and got on very well - as long as we did not discuss sexuality, religion or politics. I suggest all NUFC fans consider them the providers of capital and little more.

How many times man, you keep coming out with the same old shite.

Of course the vast majority aren’t wanting them to renounce what goes on culturally or politically in Saudi Arabia. The vast majority are excited about having an exciting, ambitious football team that can hopefully kick on and challenge.
That’s how football fans work. For the umpteenth time, Sunderland would be exactly the same.

You said yesterday you condone their actions.Stop flip flopping you cry baby.Own it.
In the world's second largest economy?

Was he a known offender when we employed him? No. So moot point. You knowinglynplayed Johnson having even seen the messages. And your fans chanted his name aware of the charges he faced
Your fans knowingly dance around with tea towels on their head,in honour of the world's most famous, and renowned paedophile. You out paedo us,easily.

But people turned their back on Ashley ???
They did.
But Ashley wasn’t prepared to throw the cash about like the new lot may.
Wether we like it or not, and as I’ve said countless times on here. Football fans are more than happy to turn a blind to eye to things if it means a crack at the big time.

So Ashley really wasn't bad after all.

Just he wasn't prepared to hoy the cash about so you hated him.

They’d dig him up, have him stuffed and sit in the directors box, and worship at his feet. if he had a few hundred billion stashed in his coffin.
