Today is the day we find out who England grind out a dour group stage against. The draw kicks off formally at 1738 U.K. time (very precise that), and is on the BBC Red button and the website

England are in pot 1. As the hosts are bizarrely. But we could get Germany who are in pot 2

Pot 4 includes the winners of Scotland/Ukraine/Wales and there are still 2 further unknowns

Australia/UAE playoff v Peru
NZ v Costa Rica

The very idea of a World Cup in Qatar is absurd as we all know

I sort of like the idea, gives some teams that have no chance of qualifying the opportunity to play on the world stage, and also for the fans to go nuts.
