Yep, because he had no ambition for the club and wanted him gone. So putting pressure on him to sell was necessary. Rightly or wrongly I just want a competitive team. I'm honest about it. Maybe I should care more, but it's a deeply unhappy person burdening himself with all of the wrongs in the world. I'm sure there's a few of you that are the personality type that genuinely feels trauma for the wrongs of the world. I know people like that. But 90% of it on here is jealousy and denial.

Absolutely not. Any convicted paedophile or facing charges for such should be nowhere near any football club.

Exactly, it's nothing like say Bury, Bolton and maybe Portsmouth who tried to compete and it went wrong. They as a collective in this have promoted the owners as some sort of jawdee hero. So hopefully its a couple more years yet, let them pump billions into the team and have lingering contracts. Then when it does go tits up they'll all play the "its not the fans fault" or "dont punish the club, punish the owner" type of shite.

The signs are that they're looking to build sustainably, investing in infrastructure etc (which is all ffp exempt). Who knows? It might go tits up. Unlikely though

However, as it is common place in Saudi Arabia and until recently sexual congress was legal at any aged if married, and although on paper that has changed, there's more holes in the law than in a particularly ripe Gruyere, you will not speak against an owner who would have been arrested and charged and found guilty in the UK?

I'm sorry, but to me whether illegal or not, having sex with children is wrong. But you can keep on defending it. You are morally bankrupt.

I'll have a problem with pif if they stop the club participating in rainbow laces campaigns and such. As long as they're buying into the club's values then it's fine with me.

Having a world cup where it's illegal to be gay is abhorrent. We're still waiting for a Premier league player to come out, what chance do we have with Fifa making decisions like that?

I haven't defended anything that happens in Saudi. I've admitted I'm willfully ignorant to it and just want my team to compete. I also said hopefully owning a PL club increases the scrutiny around them and their culture rather than sportswashes it
