Toothless bowling performance. You'd expect our bowlers to have got more from the wicket considering the weather this morning.

I didn't bother going back down to the ground this afternoon so haven't seen how the wicket is playing but the ones closer to the pavilion tend to be dead as dodos on the rare occasions they are played on. I recall the game against Leics in 2019 when Lees helped himself to 181 on the first day and then Fatty Cosgrove hit a 'back to wall' century to deny us a victory.

Of course this statement will now mean Durham will be lucky to get to three figures.:D

I’ve been impressed with Gibson. I’ve no idea of the pace simply going off the stream but he’s bowled a really probing line all day.

Would love to see him given a go to start the season.

Fair aye, saw some yesterday, some enormous West Indian hit 4 6s from numner 7 to win it, never heard of him either. You wonder in a different life if these lads would be talented enough for test cricket, same with Pooran, Russell etc.
 
Not sold on the idea of Dickson opening the batting this season. He has value as a middle order slogger but he's been twatful whenever asked to open, despite it being his preferred position.
