Will he turn this around, or just a L1 David Moyes?

He was so close to changing it in the first half but gave it until half time and changed 2 players and the formation with his final change in 09 turning the game for us.

LJ wouldn't have changed a thing so we now have a very proactive manager who is also very honest in his post game assessments.

I think he spoke really well after the game.

It was actually a little Keane-esque. That’s exactly the type of comments we’d expect from him. Brutally honest and expecting a much higher standard. Fair play.
"You took him off after 20 minutes Roy - is he injured?"
"Not yet"
You make extremely good sense. I don't think AN can get us through the playoffs, but he might get us in to them. He is shaping up as a good manager.
.He got Norwich into the PL through the playoffs. He knows how to get it done.

Ok, sorry for the bump, but you can give him 100% credit for the win. He agreed with you with regards the first half but he was positive and asked the players to be a bit more brave and it paid off.

Have you seen the post match interview? If not, have a watch and see if you can add a smilie on to your reply.
Am I supposed to be impressed that it took us 80 odd minutes to take the lead against Fleetwood Town?

The same players saying how amazing it is that he gave “clear instructions” must have been following those clear instructions in the first half too, yes?

you can see he has no enthusiasm or fight for this, 2 weeks in and going through the motions
What a load of utter bollocks!
Best manager we’ve had since relegated from the Prem imo. Actually seems to know what’s he doing while the match is going on.

Why not?
Talks sense and makes decisions at the right time and for the right reasons….we have a chance with this man.
He also knows how teams “play” in this League and how unhelpful referees are….and has changed the approach accordingly…..we would all like to play our way out of this league and take the moral high ground but Neil is recognising that this doesnt work.

I was commenting that he did exactly what you were having a go at i.e. 'telling it how it is iirc'. He said we were terrible. So all the smilies in the world won't make you correct. You tried to be a smart arse but were, in fact, wrong.

Some people really do talk bollocks on here! AN came in with the club in chaos and the team in freefall yet he's still been able to turn things around, despite injuries to key players and a totally unbalanced squad. We're now looking far better at the back than we have at any stage under LJ, he's showing way more tactical awareness and flexibility, and we are creating chances and winning games. What else did anyone expect? He's a massive step up on LJ and is almost certainly the best manager we've had since Big Sam. Promoted or not this season, I hope he's given at least all of next season to get us firing properly.
Correct! Says it as he sees it and not afraid to make the changes that are needed. I hope he is here a long time!

Happy to admit I may have been wrong. Turgid football, but seems able to make changes that can grind wins out.
