The perpetual New Member is indefatigable, I'll give him that. It's more than a tad weird (I mean, imagine being up to about chunkylover147 by now), but...yeah, there's not much but. It's just weird and cringey.I think we can guess who it is

They’ll just sell to China instead. They will buy whatever excess energy is going in the market. Then he loses the main source of income for Russia.
And Germany etc would have to find some short term alternatives.
It might make the oligarchs who own Gazprom etc to finally do something about Putin.
True story. In WW1 before the race to the sea had begun and with the German advance on Paris stalled. Churchill sent a number of Welsh speaking troops to an open Belgian port. At the railway station the local station master heard the Welsh speaking and thought it was Russian. So a rumour began and it spread like wildfire that the Russians had sent troops to the Western Front. This rumour became so widespread that it reached German high command and they panicked. So thinking they could be attacked from behind, the race to the sea began with each army outflanking the other until there was no more ground and the Battle of Ypres began.i'm struggling to actually think of any of Churchill's actual schemes that did work
Dieppe - no
Soft Underbelly - no
Greek diversion - no
and thats WW2
and can you cite any historians and strategists that claim Unthinkable was a viable scheme - cos the Order of Battle of the Western Allies and the Soviets in 1945 would lead me to believe the odds for the WA were'nt good
I''ve said it before on this thread - by late 44 / 45 the Soviets were the undisputed masters of the combined arms offensive
Germany has enough gas in storage to see it into Spring. Then he loses the main source of income for Russia.

But the plan that was actually implemented was a massive reduction in size. The naval support was pathetic.Dardanelles campaign - Nope

I think Finns & USA have a protection deal in place now, or it is rumoured.
