Get to the play offs and a similar away result would set us up nicely. Early days but we appear to be addressing our biggest failing.

People keep saying this but where would he go? One decent season in league one.
The Championship, or Celtic / Rangers.

We would likely lose Broadhead as he will get a Championship move or loan.

Doyle back to City, Defoe out of contract, Hoffman and Dajaku back to Germany.

Back to needing a huge overhaul of players who have been regular starters.

Do you mean the Doyle who when played saw us conceding goals for fun? He was too young mate. It was bonkers expecting an 18 year old to take us forward over an entire season. Mugs on here thinking he was Maldini. The Germans could go with my blessing and Defoe? Behave man, the daftest signing of the season. We'd miss Broadhead, I'd give you that.

Would have snapped your hands off for four points from these two away games! Got four, but should have been six from today's performance. There are signs of life, we just need to put some of these teams away and get into the play offs with some momentum!

Now to get six points from our two home games this week! 👊

Keep the faith! Haway The Lads! 🔴⚪
Agree totally. We are playing better and I'm sure we'll get to the play offs. The teams with momentum win the play offs. Neil is the right man for the job.

The point is, is that these players have played alot of minutes and therefore they need replacing with another huge turnover when they go. Its not about how good or bad they’ve been, its needing probably another 10 bodies before we are even level in numbers terms.

I havent once said we would miss some of those players.

As our kids get games in them turnover becomes less and less relevant. If we get this right and nurture them correctly Hume, Huggins, Cirkin, Matete and the like will become the platform for our rise. KLD has been honest about this from day one, it's a complete rebuild. Look at the players we've given longer contracts to, it's as plain as day what our plan is. You may not agree with this approach, I do.

The defece was a complete shambles, it hasn't been these last two games. That can only be a good sign especially as it wasn't instant.

You are completely missing my point.

I am not saying our business model is wrong or the way we are trying to do things isnt right.

What I have said, from the first post, Is that again we are going to have to go through a huge turnover of players this summer.

Whether or not some of the players have been good enough or not is one argument, but the other is that they have played tons of games for us this season and will therefore need replacing.

You’ve listed a few players above as a ‘platform for our rise’ yet one is fucked (Huggins), another (Hume) cant get in the squad of 18 (and thats without several players still out injured)

Matete and Cirkin seem decent, no argument there.

We are going to need at least another 10 players this summer if we are in League One again. Its ridiculous that we are still in this position.

Hume was in the squad for Charlton

Didnt actually realise he was on the bench today, even still, he’s done absolutely nowt since he was brought in and thats without the likes of O’Nien and Huggins available to play right back.
Thought he was ok in the 2 he played onien won't play fullback again I don't think

We cant afford for players just to be ok, thats why we are in this mess. Yes he’s young and signing that type of player is great, but we cant just hang around and wait for him to develop. The poster above suggested he could be our catalyst for our return despite actually doing nothing.

My original point was that we are going to go through another overhaul this summer for the 5th year running.

If we sign more players like Huggins matete I think we will be fine

Key word being ‘If’

The same people who are saying Doyle is too inexperienced are the same ones saying Huggins, Hume and co are the way to go..
Do you not think Huggins will be quality I do agree with you about the overhaul lts just inevitable that we lose Neil, Pritchard Stewart as well as Defoe and the loans going back

We don't have to have a huge turnover. If we see fit we can offer the likes of Wright and Arby contracts. if we think we can improve we'll move them on. If we had to upgrade so what? Wigan appear to have done well so
it's not ridiculous, we lost an entire generation of players from the U23's, that has to be sorted too.

Squad next year.
Huggins
Neil
09
Wright
Cirkin
Evans
Pritch
Embleton
Hume
Stewart
Matete
Gooch ( If required)
Arby ( If required)
Batth
Winch
Burge (If required)
Embleton
Patterson
Willis?

Forgive me if I've missed any, or read contracts wrong but it's close enough. Way more than Blackpool or Wigan were left with. One or two loans, a couple of old heads, a few kids and we go again.

We'll be adding kids for years yet. Get used to it.

As if Stewart and Pritchard would play another year at this level
