To all you sensible Sunderland fans out there! Have a read (it is a long read) and tell me your opinion of your own owners and shareholders background!
I won’t give you my thoughts…. It was a Sunderland fan who sent it to me!

Are you gonna turn your back on your club like you expect us to?

Hahahahahahaha

Here man, we want this joker out, you’re truly truly grasping now and trying to point score.

You and your fellow fans are hypocrites, standing with Ukraine but love your owners who have done the same to another country.
Just whack the spenks on ignore mate.
He’ll be banned soon anyway, they always are.

Probably the first result in our run we didn't deserve today IMO. Brighton the better side. Wouldn't mind seeing what Potter could do at a bigger club like, they play some really really good football.

Absolutely. Welbeck maybe 5 years ago would suit, but if they added 2 or 3 real quality players they'd be flying even higher.

Bit uncalled for?
You sir..are sportswashed..please discuss..can't wait for an informative response..I really need a in depth analysis how mag logic really ticks!!
Enlighten please!!
Oh!!! and pay us the compliment without telling lies!!!...its what your lot are good at!!..after all..its in mag DNA to to spout utter crap!!...please give us ammunition!!

I am indeed deeply suspicious about this, and have held my suspicions about that fundraising effort since the day it was started. I said as much here back in August, after observing a number of other mag fan groups attempting to rip of their fellow supporters. This was the biggest pile of money, so was always going to be the biggest potential problem area of the lot:

The Supporters Trust had already disgraced themselves with a number of awful statements regarding the takeover by the time 'the pledge' was launched in April 2021. The worst was contained in the statement accompanying the petition that was signed by 130k mags, which said that MbS was an ally of the UK government and Royal family, was a human rights reformer, and was integral to the UK's covid19 response. That shows you what type of characters were in charge of this.

The first thing that struck you about 'the pledge' was what an absolutely stupid idea it was. Ashley had no obligation to sell them anything, and owning 1% of the club would give no influence over anything anyway. So anybody could see that any money raised would never be used for its intended purpose, and to my mind there were serious questions about the character of the people overseeing it. It also wasn't a 'pledge' as its name suggested - the money wasn't pledged - the trust were actually holding it.

In January they announced that there was no point in it anymore, and they would be voting on what to do with the money, with their preferred option being to give it to charity. Why vote on it? Surely its obvious that if it isn't going to be spent on what it was raised for, then it should just be returned to the donors - they can donate it to charity if they want.

Some of your fans complained that there was only about 2 days to vote, they were only notified via one email, and if they weren't in the trust then they were never even contacted. Unsurprisingly the outcome was to give it to charity. Not the worst outcome, but the way it was handled would make anyone suspicious.

Since then there's been nothing - not even an update in nearly 7 weeks. Where is the money being held? How much interest has it gathered? What was done with that interest? A holiday for the leading Trust members? Has someone blown it all feeding a gambling addiction? No one knows.

Now it seems that a very obvious opportunity to donate to a worthwhile cause has passed without comment from the trust. More and more people will draw their own conclusions the longer this goes on.

It looks likely that yet again we will be forced to conclude that some Newcastle United supporters with a public profile will have behaved absolutely disgracefully, in full view of everyone, and yet again it is just going to be accepted because the behaviour is linked to the football club.

You seem to know more about this than me. But Ian Mearns Gateshead MP is one of the guardians of the find, as are George Caulkin, Warren Barton and some accountant (Lee Humble). I agree an update is overdue but I doubt that the private school Jonny cum
Lately clique of Alex Hurst and Charlotte Robson (amazing how the alleged socialist Michael Martin let these over privileged gobshites take over) etc have ran away with the cash.
