Back in the 90's with Shearer/Ginola/Asprilla/Ferdinand etc. they were popular.....unfortunately that is undeniable.

Agree on your second team point. Got to disagree on the other. I have worked with supporters of dozens of clubs over the years. Still have Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Aberdeen and Boro in our ranks. In the main nobody gives a shit about us, never have.

Back in the 90's on Merseyside the mags were very popular - prob on the back of the 4-3's and challenging Man Utd.

Ah yes …the jewel in the crown of Newcastle that is Ponteland…..and yet aside from the fact famous people live there ( probably because there is an airport on its doorstep so they can jet away to better places asap) it has absolutely fuck all else going for it. Doesnt even come close to comparing with the likes of Whitburn
 
Fancy another 3 points today to keep the run going. Another sell out crowd and decent day for it so be another great atmosphere.

You have to admit it’s quite an interesting read though. And I agree there is no comparison to be had.

I am not comparing at all, but like most clubs with foreign investment there is always somebody shady involved somewhere.
Owners, directors test failed a long long time ago.

Fair comment but it is an interesting read and back up the theory that wherever foreign investment exists someone shady is involved somewhere.

I replied below but no comparison just an observation about virtually all foreign investment.
