Even in the current situation where Russia has invaded Ukraine and Germany has imposed massive sanctions on Russia and is supplying weapons to Ukraine the gas is still flowing from Russia to Germany via pipelines in The Ukraine.

I don't think the teleport is there now, building re-purposed. If you go on the global teleport website there is no mention of Sunderland these days, just old references to an award to the CEO or whatever.

I know, you couldn’t make it up. Major job shutting down gas fields safely and purging pipelines but heard no mention it is even being thought about.
 
Sky news saying if people are trying to fly out of Russia, phones are been read to see messages to make sure there are intending on coming back
 
Hoped we would have seen serious talks of peace by now, but unless I’m missing something it looks as if this will sadly go on for a while

I am sure I read once upon a time that we were high up the list because of the shipyards and the telephone exchange behind Joblings was a trunk exchange.

One of the 106 probable targets apparently.

The only thing we can do is with UN support declare a no fly zone area to help the population leave, we have done that in the past and so long as we are a "defence only" stance it could work, I dont think Putin would be allowed to fire nukes even if he wanted too.
