Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

The same Chinese who when asked for help to mediate months ago by the US, back channelled.intelligence to Russia and did not nothing to help?

Weaning ourselves off cheap Chinese tat is going to be harder than Russian oil.

Without wishing to take this too far off topic, I read a very interesting article recently about wholesale stopping our reliance on the Chinese. The environmental improvements alone from reduced fuel emissions from container ships go a huge way to reducing our global footprint. Then a reset of manufacturing location to more localised means goods would cost more, but we also create jobs and improve the bottom end of the economy for those below the breadline.
How this links to your post is they are hugely powerful and mainly due to cheap tat. Reducing our reliance on them has secondary effects in terms of their economic growth and subsequent military power.
We’ve been complacent and you’re right, weaning off the Chinese is going to be hard to achieve.

If the Russians had stayed within their own borders none of this would be necessary. For many Ukrainians it’s the only means of defence they have.
One of the molotov production lines we saw on the news the other day was of young ladies making hundreds of them, filling bottles with petrol, oil and polystyrene foam. The foam causes the fireball to adhere to its target, creates thick black poisonous smoke too. Plenty other stuff can be added if available, bleach and acid etc. The Pravda Brewery over there have switched from making bottled craft beer to making Molotovs theyve even printed up labels for the bottles with the words "putin is a dick". I'm guessing the brewery might have the capability of pressure sealing the bottles too thus creating a massively more explosive device. Good on them.

I'm assuming no one knows the answer to the question i posted earlier.

Does the missile strike (accidental or not) on the Slovenian consulate constitue an act of aggression to a NATO member?
This is how I think it’s going to go hit civilians to cause surrender. Dirty as fuck tactic by the cunits
Problem for the Russki's is they still have the civilians to deal with and that will require leaving a fair number of troops behind

Yes they do of course Ukraine srill also need to ensure they protest those who can’t fight etc who haven’t left, elderly sick disabled and children. Or are you meaning to police them? As Russians don’t have near enough soldiers to do that.

As to your question it could be seen as aggression against nato yes. That’s on how Slovenia take it.

Surely China would have to take a stand against Russia if these nuke threats keep popping up? Even if they're not directly hit all that radiation floating about and a humanity ending nuclear winter wouldn't really be in their best interest.

I mean, fuck Russia
but Molotov cocktails don’t sit right with me. The initial explosion is fine (for a war zone type of fine) but putting stuff like bleach or slow burning oil should be against the Geneva convention. It’s a form of chemical warfare

Oh they are horrific. Chuck a few into a vehicle and it will burn them to death if it catches. In a tank inlet the occupants would choke to death on black smoke.

But the Russians have no regard for life. So with these and huge numbers of arms in Ukrainian hands the occupation forces will be living in constant fear
