I mean, fuck Russia
but Molotov cocktails don’t sit right with me. The initial explosion is fine (for a war zone type of fine) but putting stuff like bleach or slow burning oil should be against the Geneva convention. It’s a form of chemical warfare
Don't think they can enforce the Geneva convention rules to civilians. Besides, they're defending their property and loved ones and the invaders deserve what they get imho

It is 6.30am in . Here’s where we stand right now:
  • Russian troops have reportedly landed in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second most populous city, according to the security service of . Russian partatroopers reportedly landed at around 3am local time (1am GMT) and engaged in heavy fighting with Ukrainian forces.
  • Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine are coming under more bombardment in the early hours of Wednesday morning as the Russian military steps up its offensive and moves forces closer towards the capital.
  • Joe Biden’s used his State of the Union address to warn Vladimir Putin that he cannot divide the west and that dictators should . He won a standing ovation for his praise of the Ukrainian resistance against what he called Russian “tyranny”.
  • Biden also announced that the US is closing American airspace to all Russian flights, “further isolating Russia”.
  • Four people have been killed after homes in the city of Zhytomyr west of Kyiv were hit by a cruise missile apparently aimed at a nearby airbase, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the interior minister, on his Telegram channel.
  • The southern cities of Kherson and Mariupol are likely now encircled by the Russians,
  • Thousands of Ukrainians are trying to leave Kyiv, as Russia’s defence ministry warned residents to leave as it plans to strike targets in the Ukrainian capital. The UN says more than 680,000 people have already fled the city.
  • The IMF and the World Bank have condemned the Russian action in Ukraineand the of people there. The organisations pledged a $3bn package of support for the country.
  • Apple has said it will pause all product sales in Russia while Boeing is suspending “major operations” in Moscow, as well as “parts, maintenance, and technical support services for Russian airlines”. Ford and the British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover have also suspended operations, along with Nike.
  • Brent crude oil has soared 5.8% to $110.09 a barrel, its highest since 2014. The Russian rouble has fallen again in early trading on Wednesday to hit 109.2 to the dollar.

I do like the fact that money is talking in this conflict. The Russian people who don't want this will suffer the greatest in the long run. One nutters dick swinging has brought his out of touch agenda to millions of innocent people. What a twat.
Agree. It also means that those who have been believing the Russian propoganda will be asking why everything is so much more expensive? Why is there no money in the ATM's? Why can't i buy a new iphone? and the truth will come out

Saudi Arabia confirms its commitment to the OPEC+ agreement with Russia, the Saudi Press Agency reports.

This is a really vague article. The only substantive thing they say is that OPEC+ will increase oil production to bring prices back down. From my understanding, this alone should do nothing to help Russia. Oil prices are up because Russia, a majour oil exporter, is being shut out of international markets. If OPEC needs to increase production, this would imply Russia will continue to be unable to sell their oil internationally, so I don’t see how any of this can be read as the Saudis helping Russia.

That said, there are scant facts in this article, so it is entirely possible they have left out important information that would change this assessment.

Either way Saudis are pieces of shit 😂
Mag bastards

So is ploughing missiles into apartment blocks and shooting dead car full of families, but the world is just watching it

China playing both sides as expected. Russia will turn to them now the West has exiled them, but giving just enough criticism to keep things between China and the West relatively smooth
Wonder what putin would think if China waltzed into Russia from the east. Claiming it as their own. Siberia aside there's not much other than land between the Chinese border and moscow

Brent crude surpassed $110 overnight. Paid £1.59 at the pumps this morning. Will continue to climb.

The Chinese government have similar compassion for everyday folk, so any regret they have is purely economical.

A thing Russia has done for atleast a decade now in Syria, but because it's happening in Europe why the sudden outrage?

If they say you can't use or do XYZ then not police it, then it's a bit pointless? I highly doubt the coppers from The Hague are gonna jump on a plane, put their sirens on and walk through Moscow with handcuffs.
