And yet he tried to block military aid to the Ukraine, unless they opened an investigation to the Biden's. Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if Trump was in power purely because he'd have handed it to Putin on a plate

You're assuming that Trump has any internal conflict between trying to extort Ukraine for his own personal ends and defending it to an insane degree when that might also serve his own personal ends.

That's simply not how Trump works. He can do two things that seem wildly inconsistent to any normal person until one realizes that the only commonality between the two actions is that they somehow benefit Trump personally.

If Trump needs to say the sky is blue one moment to benefit Trump and then green the next (while insisting that anyone who says it's blue is an idiot) to also benefit Trump, he'll do it with no hesistation.

I agree, everything Trump is a transaction, and has to be beneficial to him
Selling out Ukraine to the Russian's in order to protect himself, borrow money from the Russians or building a hotel. It doesn't really matter to him

Not excusing any of it but it wasn't the most enlightened region in the world anyway & this chaos will bring the worst out in anybody.
