Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

Substantial difference between doing something where basically nobody else in a position of strength is impacted and something while could end Human Civilization and raise the ire of powerful enemies.

I could make chips for tea
I could also go out and stab someone

The fact that I do one thing that is to my benefit and won't affect anyone else dosen't mean I'm going to literally just do anything else.
Putin is beyond reckless and arrogant, and I believe he would push the button if backed into a corner.

My hope is that someone close to him with the means and opportunity will assassinate him. There’ll be plenty of high ranking people in his government and army who’ll see how utterly foolish and barbaric his aims are.

There was a link of someone saying this I hope I can find it, loads of the Russian young lads don’t want to be there like, you can see it in their eyes on the videos.

I do not believe they though they were on a training exercise but they certainly didn’t want to be fighting Ukrainians some vidoes
They actually seem shocked to think they are the enemy.

Which shows to me how much shite they have been fed by putin etc it’s madness.

Dropping cluster munitions in residential areas is a pretty hard one to defend. And hitting residential skyscrapers with short range rockets...well, um, they're almost line-of-sight weapons systems, so what the hell else did they think they were going to hit?

And if the Ukrainian have soldiers embedding in those areas? Ukrainian weapons have buildings aswell.

There's clearly a distinction between outright fair game of civilians and those caught up in it.

Eh?

Got a link to the proof of that?

I've seen other footage of a Russian tank going down the middle of a street going over several cars without any thought.

It's linked earlier in this thread, dig it up if you've the time. But idk what you expect of these people, they're in a conflict and fighting for their lives and awful things happen. Stop ascertaining a correlation between collateral damage and those caught up in the events and war crimes.

I can't find anything on Russians being killed for not fighting. I thought maybe you'd misheard the report
Nope, I didn’t mishear the report. It was reported that some captured young soldiers were saying they’d be shot for refusing to fight, others said they’d be court martialed. It could have been that it was found to be bollocks after they’d initially broadcast it.

Imagine the paranoia that surrounds him now. His closest confidantes who aren't with him on this will be shitting themselves. He'll be getting edgy.
