What a load of crap, it's a thread about Russia invading Ukraine and not just a free for all posting any old political crap due to their own personal political opinions or the petty personal poster attacks towards each other.

I think most of us get it, Johnson is a **** and the refugee offering isn't anywhere as good as other countries (bearing in mind someone mentioned Ukraine didn't want them going to far so they could return easily) but to see it constantly regurgitated isn't what we want to see repeated.

Many people in this thread and no doubt many more lurkers who don't even post in the Politics forum will be looking for updates on the latest news on whether this shit is going to escalate even further. The Boris/Brexit/Tory etc bitching posts along with needless tit for tat doesn't really help them does it? Surely you've seen the numerous posts about people who come to this thread to get updates so why can't people not help other posters with valuable input into the thread rather than hinder it?

As you see, I've edited my post as there are 2 other threads about 2 subjects that keep being commented on here and cause friction but here they are again for those who missed my edit.

Isn’t the current government rushing through a bill that aims to restrict the right to protest? Pretty sure it gives police the power to arrest people who cause “mild annoyance”

You’re right, I’ve been speaking to my friend in Kiev, she’s saying that there’s still people who support putin even in Ukraine and way too many who support him in Russia.

I also have no idea. I can only tell you that my friend called me because he was so upset. He is a very very intelligent man who has lived in the west. He is getting no information that he trusts.

Nonsense. We can't have people dictating what we're allowed to say about political leaders and their choices in this matter which this thread is about.
If the mods decide different then fair enough but up to then I'll continue talking politics in this thread about a very political matter.

Then typically they would be transferred around the country in military trucks. I’d imagine as those will be a target in the current climate they may well be transported in civilian trucks
