Abramovich has been on the 'Radar' for a few years now and as a result was spending less and less time in the UK. No doubting the amount of Laundry that Chelsea have been doing for him! He will come out of this, still owning Chelsea, no doubt. It's all smoke and mirrors!
 
Is he not putting the club in trust , same as you might do with your house if you don't want to pay care costs ?
Not sure of any legal aspects but you have to do things like that long before events usually and the UK Govt shouldn't fall for it .
If he's given it away permanently fair enough , if he's just sheltering it fuck him.
 
Hasn't Abramovich lived in Israel on a permanent basis since 2018?

I believe that his residence here came to an end when he was refused entry back in to the UK around the time of the Salisbury / Skirpal poisoning. Apparently at the time he was deemed to have been too close to Putin so I guess that he knows now that he certainly won't be welcome back following his mate's invasion of the Ukraine.

He clearly still has a lot of cash stashed over here so I guess that this is just a way of sorting out his Chelsea interest and putting it on hold.

The way Syed conducted himself in the midst of the greatest display of wilful ignorance is absolutely remarkable. They were attempting all sorts of whataboutery and lesser orators would have risen their voice or been forced down a route of compativeness but Syed kept his composure with sound reasoning - a tremendous watch.

Yep absolutely, very impressive from him. Completely embarrassed and schooled the other three. It’s appalling that this was 2013 and these facts haven’t such exposure on mainstream media since.

Chelsea have been pretty much self sufficient for a few years now when they backed out of building the new ground.
They may lose a few sponsorship deals, but I highly doubt that.
